  1. So what happens if you see Orian in the woods, forget that you're supposed to follow him and allow him to disappear, and then go back into the woods at a later point, when he seems to have vanished? Can you still complete the "Follow Orian" quest or are you stuck on that particular quest? Thanks in advance...
  2. Okay, thanks for confirming this. Won't waste any more time on the south gate then. I'll have to check out the secret room on the west gate!
  3. Earlier in the game, I tried attacking and peeling off two or so Horde Protectors at a time, but this got monotonous fast as I couldn't figure out how many were left. After reaching near the end of the game, I made a frontal assault from the southeastern bridge. Through a series of charms, buffs, battle crystals, and invulnerability draughts, I managed to kill the first large group of fifteen (?) Horde Protectors. However, after killing these, I was still being pestered by one or two newly arrived Sliths. So rather than waste more resources on them, I decided to retreat. Maybe I'll try again after the next to last task.
  4. So I'm at endgame and have been trying to figure out if the sliths laying siege to Formello are the respawning type or if they are actually beatable. I did notice that I get a meager amount of XP per slith killed, which suggests a different breed of slith than those inhabiting Formello. Does anyone know? (Many thanks!)
  5. Thanks, Sleeping Dragon and Randomizer, for the responses. Morality is one of the interesting aspects of the game. It just seems as though something was dropped here, since the general style of the game (and of Jeff's games throughout) is to make the moral choices more explicit in the very frame of the play, rather than to situate it outside of the game's framework (in the player's private conscience). I'll accept this explanation, even while I still maintain that the elder crone's assertion of a past crime on the part of the selkie chief should allow for a dialogue option here. But again, thanks to both of you for taking the time to answer!
  6. But doesn't the eldest crone tell me to ask about her sister, who was supposedly slain by the selkie chief? This is the dialogue option that I'm looking for but doesn't seem to be there. Gwyar makes the appeal to justice, so there should be some way to justify what would otherwise be an act of treachery.
  7. Hello -- I did the selkies' quest to return the pelts and have also accepted Gwyar's quest to bring her the pelt of the selkie chief. However, when conversing with the chief, none of the dialogue options allow me to anger the chief into fighting me. When I attack him unprompted, I am labeled "treacherous" by the game's commentary and feel bad. Is this a bug? Thanks!
