  1. Well, I can take the PC version and just make a .cmg file for the graphics, then test it. Also, I can send you the .cmg if you need it. So sign me up, I can help Mac OSX 10.5.9, though it doesn't matter debian(dot)ukraine(at)gmail(dot)com
  2. That's great. Sorry I haven't been keeping up with all this and or helping, Finals/Work/No Free Time have kept me off for a while. I don't know if you still need me, but I can certainly help.
  3. Forget the weapons, we need nuclear fusion energy.

  5. I would agree with you there, Slarty. I started out just playing it a little bit here and there and without much long periods of playing it I didn't know what was happening: no special encounters, etc. It reminded me of Exile III actually, too.

  7. Alright, I'll talk to Randomizer about it I guess. Unless he sees this thread... *yells for Randomizer* How are the magic skills in the full version?
  8. First off, let me say I'm not a bot and I'm not trying to promote Basilisk games in any way. Alright, now has anybody played it? I downloaded the Mac demo and found it to be good, just not as good as most Spiderweb games. It was sorta like Runescape minus the MMORPG part. With Jeff cookin up a new batch of games, does anybody recommend registering this game? I liked it, but I'm a cheap bast**d. So what does every body think, compared to Spiderweb?
  9. I knew it! My informants would have told me... *looks around and jumps out of window*
  10. *GASP* Congrats Ephesos, time to procrastinate. But you know, priorities first. -Ecky, Ecky, Ecky, Ecky, Pakang zoomboing
  11. Yes, I would like to get nostalgic and play through all his old games again.
  12. No, I just find it humorous. Seems a shame to post this without picking a favorite color. So let's see... It's wavelength is 405nm and 473 nm. Let's see how many people know their wavelengths.
  13. I was curious who would post a link to this first, but anyway: Sounds a little bit like Nethergate. I know a lot of people complain about Spiderweb graphics, but I like them. Still it should be good for those who want new graphics.
  14. All the Avernum graphics are still just like new! At least for me they are.
  15. The thing with all of Apple touchscreen products is... they all get tons of fingerprints and they all essentially do the same things.
  16. The only thing unsatisfying for me about the ending (speaking of Fort Emergence) was not being able to go through Upper Avernum.
  17. Yeah... It's a shame that BOA didn't become what BOE was. I phase in and out of designing half-baked scenarios and having a social life. Sorry scenario archive, designing scenarios consumes my life.
  18. As far as magic has come, I have found it has become less and less useful. However in Avernum 6, all the spells wind up becoming more balanced out, granted I am spending about 5,000-10,000 coins in a sitting on spells. The Fire spells in Avernum 6 winded up being useless in major points of the game because Sliths are resistant to fire. I liked the magic in the Exile series more. The narrative always talks about these men of great magical power, thrashing about their enemies with the flick of a wrist. Yet you never can learn past Arcane Blow, even though one of my PC's is a mage. While the magic engine is finer tuned now, there's nothing like hasting your WHOLE party or quickfireing and enemy town, or even stopping quickfire with a magic barrier. The priest spells were much more useful too, but I ain't no crazy Anama. In the earlier Avernum series, you could target multiple targets, not just put down a fiery hell in one circle. If one thing should be brought back, it should be the spells from Exile. Other things include old items like maces, flails, bardiches, and other charms etc. Ni.
  19. Battle for Wesnoth is a good, open game. You could have it summon creatures, too instead of soldiers.
  20. I will refrain from beginning a debate about Communism. All I will say is that behind powerful, well written anthems and propaganda that makes you feel as though you have been mistreated all these years, is betrayal by the one fact that makes us all human. Our inevitable lust for power and money. Ooops. looks like I just started something.
  21. I personally like Douglas Adams and Arthur C. Clarke.
  22. Student of Trinity, that Oregon logger's song is a classical piece of folk music. I can remember Pete Seeger performing that...
