  1. Not really. If you play on a lower difficulty throughout the game, you may have to buy equipment upgrades less often and spend fewer consumable items to get through, which means you'll have more money and items available for the actual fight, giving you an advantage over someone who played on the higher difficulty setting for the whole game.

By the time you're fighting these guys, you're level 30 with the best equipment that you get from quests, not buying. So it's really down to consumables, seems like an odd thing to base an entire medal on. Either way, the medal description should be change so people won't accidentally waste time on it.

  2. You have to play the whole game on the difficulty or harder to get a medal.

Also some medals don't show up right away.

Thanks. If that's the case then the medals make no sense, it shouldn't matter what level you played the rest of the game because the challenge for that foe will be the same. Seems like sloppy design.

  3. To get these medals, do you have to play the whole game on that difficulty? I beat Krymhylas on Hard 3 times but the Full of Hot Air does not unlock.

Last time I tried, I changed the difficulty to Hard while in Avadon, saved the game, quit the game, restarted the game, reloaded the save file, went to The Corruption to beat him again. Still nothing. Is it a bug or intentional?

I know cheats affect medals but I didn't use any cheats throughout the game.

  4. Oh! I figured it was finishing the game by becoming an Eye rather than a Heart. Thanks!

So, does completing the game on hard mean playing on hard all the way through or just the final fight? I defeated Krymhylas on Hard 2 times but the Full of Hot Air medal did not unlock... is it because I played most of the game on Normal??

  5. Thanks for this thread! Is it specifically 10 Pact Papers you have to bring to Jazlyn or do arcane scrolls also count?

(I want the Eye medal but now I realize I may have done too many side quests already... however if only Pact Papers count for Jazlyn, then I still have a chance of getting that medal without backtracking a lot).

  6. I could swear one sound clip that can be found in spiderweb games goes "Oren, Oren, f'tach li et hadelet!" which is Hebrew for, "Oren (common boy's name), Oren, open the door for me!". All the speech sound clips sound vaugely semitic to me, I wonder if they in fact recordings.

edit: didn't notice the thread was so old sorry.

  7. Follow up question - when is the last chance to complete these quests? I still haven't decided if I want to do Shima's quest and I'm already finishing up Hunting The Lord. I know I will be sent back to Kellemderial to do something and endgame will probably start after that... at what point is it too late?

  8. I finished all three quests for Zethron as well as all the other side quests that I know of in the Kva, but Zethron still has 2 locked boxes beside him and one of those require 18 lockpicks to open, which usually means the container is a reward for some quest. Did I miss anything? Are there any quests that open the 2 remaining chests?

  9. I'm replaying the game but I totally forget... how does completing or not completing companion quests affect the game? Also, does it matter how I do those quests and what I say? For example, is there a difference between letting Cahil The Claw go free or killing him as far as Sevilin is concerned?

  10. I'm pretty much at the end game and throughout the game the only doors and chests that had a high lockpick demand (like 18) were rewards that got unlocked when you completed quests. All except one... Zhethron has 3 of those boxes but as far as I can tell, you only get 2 quests that open up two of those boxes. Is this correct or did I miss some quest??

  11. oooh that place... I thought you meant the place I found near Formello that seems to be unreachable. The other place we talked about in this thread is actually in the breeding tunnels where you're attacked by a small group of gazers and there is a button/switch you can see but you can't reach. That button does nothing and leads nowhere.

Im not familiar with that ghost mode (noclip) cheat you refer to.

the ghost mode I used only lets you walk through walls (found it here). I also used it to enter Fort Emerald and it's all there... just totally empty grin
