Revenant

I can see that there's a hidden room behind the western wall of the room where the first stairway into the Soultaker's Pit drops you. Does anyone know how to enter it?

You probably won't have it the first time you meet an unstable mass, but lightning spray is pretty effective against them.

So I stole the Anama papers and slew everyone in town, including Seeker Micklebur. Then on my way through the Howling Depths, I met "Transt," the apparent substitute for the now dead Micklebur, and his thugs.

As we chatted away, one of Transt's friendly companions smacked "Micklebur" on the back of the head. Now either Micklebur was miraculously brought back to life and got a name change, or Transt's thugs dragged his charred body all the way to the Howling Depths so that could use it as a target dummy as "Transt" and I talked.

Neither of these seems very plausible. But then, that's the world of Avernum...
