  1. I can confirm that the hack works in Avadon proper, specifically in the Tower of Trials. I didn't bother with the dialogue, I just attached the code to the obelisk node to get Alcander up there with me. He then toddled around after me upstairs and down, until I left the zone via portal. No harm done, but obviously you'd want to be careful with this.
  2. I believe there are four tokens in all, so you have to choose.
  3. No, he's not going to push his luck any further.
  4. Yeah, you need to get more than one zone away to get the town script to reload. The portal pylons are usually the easiest way.
  5. IIRC, the curse was on the Romans, that they would never conquer any farther than they already had. I could be wrong about that. For the Celts, it's a bittersweet victory at best, since their magic is doomed to fade. ETA: While you're not strictly required to do anything overtly evil, most of your side quests leave a bad taste. Your allies are unsavory, and pretty much everyone else hates you. You go through the game feeling like you're contributing to the destruction of something rare and special. I didn't enjoy playing as Romans.
  6. Vug only opens his door to Romans (Celts won't need what he's selling). You can bribe Toivo to get the password.
  7. In G4, the SDF for canister use is 100,4 It increases by one for every canister you use. This information is really easy to find for yourself; just open the scripts folder and look for the document called "canister.txt". If you want to cheat away the consequences of being a canister junkie, you can just comment out the line inc_flag(100,4,1); by putting // in front of it. Or change the one to a zero. Of course you should always make a back-up of a script before changing it in any way.
  8. That's okay, kGeek, and welcome to the forums. If you look at the forum index you'll notice that threads with unread posts in them are highlighted (assuming you're logged in). New posts, even in very old threads, are bound to be noticed by someone.
  9. Perfectly healthy, here. Keep your germs off the forums, you sickies.
  10. Wasn't it halfway down a long drop, in the Circle Warrens? Or possibly I'm confused.
  11. Alcander is refreshingly clear and unapologetic about his motives. And sarcastic. Having him and Khalida together is quite entertaining.
  12. WARNING: Installing this editor involves modifying your game files. Even if you only install it and never actively use it, your game may change in ways you don't expect or want. This editor is not made or supported by Spiderweb Software. Install at your own risk. Well, here it is, a character editor for Avadon 2. It's more streamlined than the Ava1 deluxe version, but I think I covered all the essentials. I did not include custom items this time, because there are tons of artifacts in the game already. Download here: Avadon 2 Character Editor As always, use it at your own risk; Spiderweb Software does not support modding. Always make back-up copies of files before replacing or altering them in any way. To install: Mac: Next, right-click on the Avadon 2 icon and select "Show Package Contents". Open the Contents folder. First, make a back-up copy of the whole Resources folder, and then drag and drop the new file(s) from the editor folder into the original resources folder. Windows: Next, open the Avadon 2 Files folder. First, make a back-up copy of the whole Scripts folder, and then drag and drop the new file(s) from the editor folder into the original scripts folder. (Avadon 2 should be located in the Spiderweb Software folder, which should be in Program Files.) To access the editor, click on the signpost near the southern exit from the Ravaged Woods — that's the zone you started the game in. This has been tested by nobody but me, so if you have any issues with it, post here.
  13. Is this accurate? Spirit Claw can cleave if the skill is high enough, but I was unaware of Dex having any effect on casting whatsoever.
  14. If they're outside the walls then you're probably seeing something that's in another building. All secondary (ie indoor or underground) areas of a zone are in the same "layer"; even though you can only see the map of the building you're in, showmall will display creatures in the whole layer. Or as Randomizer says, they could be spawns.
  15. Or you stayed loyal without becoming a Heart, got assigned elsewhere and/or killed. The Pact is a big place, and as we know, Avadon has no shortage of enemies. Nathalie probably stayed for awhile, then got bored and set herself up in a tower somewhere.
  16. I think of the Tinkermage's constructs as rickety, jerry-rigged affairs, held together by magic and spit. Which is why they only last a few rounds, and fall apart if the TM stops concentrating on them (ie dies). Making permanent independent turrets would require advanced knowledge, better equipment than could easily be toted around, and of course the absence of anything in the immediate vicinity that is actively trying to kill you while you work.
  17. Welcome to the forums, Giant Frog! I like your avatar. Let's all just pretend I've said something witty about sanity and/or fluffy turtles.
  18. Yeah the same thing happened to me a couple of times for no apparent reason. Oh, my character wants to study this wall while the other two go off and explore, that's cool. Just an annoying little bug.
  19. None of those cheats would have helped with the poster's problem in any case.
  20. This might be what you're looking for: http://spiderwebforums.ipbhost.com/index.php?/topic/10726-new-info-on-skills-esp-luck
  21. Took you this long to figure that out?
  22. The Action Point system in A4 is a bit of a rude shock. You get more of them, but you need at least 5 (iirc) to do an action. So you may run up to an enemy only to find that you don't have enough AP to do anything. Fortunately this was changed in subsequent games.
  23. Perhaps we should be more concerned about the fact that they are sent out barefoot and pantsless.
  24. Evidently Avadon got a major upgrade with the recent renovation. And I totally failed to notice it until I was cleaning up the map: I wonder if there's wifi?
