  1. YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY!!!!! /dance /dance /happy
  2. Well, I don't consider myself particularly tech savvy or good at the games, but I applied anyway Hopefully I can actually manage to stick with one character build start to finish without restarting an inordinate number of times and/or using excessive spoilerage (assuming I even get picked, naturally), and my RL schedule is cooperative throughout the testing period
  3. My last two playthroughs saw me using only a minimum number of canisters; the first cause I ended up going with the Shapers, and the second cause my character was a Warrior with pretty much no magic skills to speak of, so needless to say, spell canisters didn't really do anything worth becoming a psychotic wreck. The irony is, when I played through G3, I pretty much grabbed up every canister I could get my hands on (even when I went with a loyalist) My third playthrough, if I can ever be bothered with such a thing, is most likely going to be a hardline rebel who quite happily rocks the canisters
  4. Yeah, that's my only complaint is the black background for the interface/dialog boxes. I know it's supposed to be a "dark" game and all, but wouldn't dark gray or something like that get the point across just as well without inflicting undue eyestrain? Other than that... WANT!!!!!!!
  5. November for the Mac probably means January - February for the PC'ers *coughmecough*... it's a long way away, but I can wait... I think... *twitch*
  6. Yeah, that's along the lines of what I was thinking: Majorly juiced-up-on-Shaping Drakons who are willing to offer incredible powers (better canisters, maybe even a more powerful Geneforge *hint hint*) to worthy humans and/or serviles who basically pledge their undying loyalty to them.
  7. My vote: 1. Shapers (kind of a no-brainer) 2. Trakovites (again, I'd be more surprised if they WEREN'T in GF5) 3. Radical group of Shapers 4. Drakon rebels 5. Human rebels
  8. This thread alone was enough to bring me back from the very brink of ending my cold, miserable existence (I exaggerate, of course, but not by much...) Of course, the sheer anticipation of waiting for G5, along with the certainty that it's going to be the end of the series I love so much, is likely to destroy the last few shreds of sanity I've managed to hold on to, but eh, that's the breaks
  9. (apologies for the semi-necro) Well, it's a bit of a tossup, but I'd have to give my vote to G4, for several reasons: better graphics (a minor consideration), much improved interface and mechanics (IMO, anyway), and it does a better job of not smacking you over the head with the linearity than G3 does Also, it's the only game in the series that wants to play nice with my new comp Although I did enjoy G1 very much as well, and let's face it, you've GOT to love a game where one of the possible endings basically has you becoming an insane, all-powerful demigod and enslaving all of reality ( EDIT: I speel gud )
