  1. I love the snide comments Jeff puts in when he is, presumably, bored. They can be found everywhere, and most escape my memory, but I remember in Kratoa-Kel or whatever, the abandoned building in the center next to Makar's office has a jar in the back room. When you click on it, the message comes up saying, in addition to: there is nothing here, "Sadly, not all jars in Terrestia contain useful information". It's not a great example, but it's all I got.
  2. What ever happened to DV? I haven't seen him around here in a while.
  3. It looks good to me. The non-battle creations are rather awkward, but hey, what can you do? Not to mention the countless types of vlish...
  4. Vegan meat pies are abominations to food. Back to the topic at hand... I'm playing torment for the first time. I'm getting ready to go into the stoneworks, and I see no way I could take out an unbound at this point without getting ridiculously lucky. Those of you who claim to take out unbound when you come across them in torment, is there some secret that I don't know about?
  5. I don't know if such a list exists, but it wouldn't be difficult for someone to make. The only reason I don't is time. However, if you know an item is found in a certain area, searching for the "set_spec_item" alone is probably enough. You could even search a number of areas to look for special items. It's just a matter of time...
  6. Ease. In order to actually create a gene, one would have to determine the desired protein structure, work back through RNA to DNA, and then add in all of the non-translated material. Not to mention how hard it would be to manipulate individual nucleotides.
  7. A number of creations are based on real animals. Fyoras, Drayks, and Drakons are based on lizards/dragons. Roamers are said to be like shaped dogs. Thahds and Alphas are humanoid. Clawbugs are like scorpions, and artrilas and worms are, well, worms. The creations have also evolved. Drakons are more imaginative forms of drayks. Rots are like rotten humanoids, and Tralls are superior humanoids. Also, things like the kyshaak and wingbolt are creations of the game, or so it seems. The reasoning behind their creation is stated in the game. A few things, like the eyebeasts, and then the graphics of others (mostly magic creations) are strange indeed, but most come from real life and mythology. (The above is purely the guesswork of yours truly. It may or may not be fully or completely accurate, but hey, who's counting?)
  8. Hehe, I've never bothered to name them. Way back when in the world of Sucia, I numbered them, but that was it.
  9. And it has also been agreed that the extra killing power more than makes up for the decrease in exp. Overall, I would recommend, with battle creations, at least, keeping your starting bugs and plated bugs with you until you can get rots. Alphas aren't all that much stronger than bugs when you consider how much the bugs have leveled. Not to mention, alphas just do physical damage, like thahds. Bugs poison, plated bugs hit twice, rots poison or acid or whatever, and tralls just rock!

Would you rather have one creation doing 150 damage or 2 creations doing 100 damage a piece?
  11. I'll second that. My melee-focused Shaper rushed the beginning and made 2 clawbugs to start. Another was added later, followed by 2 plated bugs. I absorbed the clawbugs and maybe plated bugs to make some alphas, but immediately went back to my pre-absorption save. I'm not sure how betas stack up if you can get them early, but leveled bugs beat fresh green alphas.

  13. The ability to see things from a distance, usually through a crystal, mirror, or even bowl of water. Occasionally used in association with future and past seeing magic.
  14. There was a topic on this a while back. The two crystals are distinctly different. They even have different names.
  15. Whichever one hit 3 people! (as my memory fades, I can't be sure that this happened in 1-3 and not 4-5, but my point stands: hitting 3 people for the price of 1 is wonderbar)
  16. Which fight can you get forced into? Is it the one in Click to reveal.. the Dera Reaches bring area ? Because I seem to remember people saying that it is avoidable regardless of canister use, at least with the right leadership skills.
  17. text3 = "_Ah,_ she says. _It's Alwan's pet rebel, I see. I am Agent Mouawad, guide and inspector from the Shaper Council._ The members of the Council rule the Shapers, and thus all Terrestia. This is an important person."; This, plus a few other comments, seem to imply that she is more of an ambassador from the council. However... This line implies that she is on the council. Perhaps she is just delusional... text1 = "_There are nine of us. Representatives from each of our sects. Three Shapers, three Guardians, three Agents. We are the masters of our kind, and the defenders of Terrestia._";
  18. Just above Below Nodye Pass. Click to reveal.. (But Seriously) Its at the far left of the northern map. Below Nodye Pass is the zone with Aranov, the guy who buys the swamp herbs. Also, Nodye Pass is where the tunnel is that the leader of Penta asks you to clear.
  19. If I remember from when I invaded the Oasis, the guards who constantly spawn don't give any exp.
  20. Is essence orbs in the game at all? Based on the script, it seems as if it is, but I don't recall seeing it. That said, beware that any and all enemies who may be inclined to attack with shocking rain will now attack with essence orbs. It's a double-edged sword, my friend.
  21. I think he's waiting until he gets to Astoria's minion to train them a bit first.
  22. Your dexterity is quite high. Are you focusing more in melee or missile weapons? Also, your leadership is a bit low. It may help to raise that up to about 2 below your mechanics level sooner rather than later.
  23. Just guessing here, since I don't have easy access to scripts right now but: Find the script folder which contains the spells, I can't remember what it is (or if it actually exists...). Find the spell you would like to replace. Then, go to a game with the spell you want to copy. Insert the desired spell on top of the spell being replaced. There may be a few differences in the scripting styles, so just double check and make sure the language is the same. If you can get this far but the language seems to be off, I would recommend posting here to see if anyone can help you.
  24. Yes, silly typo. And that sounds to be the right name. I think it was determined that those (well, genius above the other two) are the best belts for any heavy shaping character. While the crafted belts are nice, the intelligence bonuses are just too good to give up.
