I know I'm missing a few, but here are some basic suggestions.

  2. From my experience with editing I believe it is possilbe to do either of those requests (though I personally cannot pull it off).

Suggestions on how to get an editor to act like a canister, try finding and studying the canister scripts and determining what increases the stats. Then try to integrate it into an editor. A possible problem would be that you would increase the number of canisters you have used when using the editor to change your creation/spell stats.

Also the easy way to get the high spells and creations would be to edit items. Much easier. Refer to the helpful links under scripting for lists of scripting stats.

  3. If it doesn't require you to change the color setting to Thousands it should be fine. Also I'm not sure if this is correct or not, but I think the most recent version of A5 was made to work better on Leopard, which if you don't have may act strangely. Like I said I'm not sure.

  4. He could change his mind. Both have their advantages. Combat does medium damage to everything if at a good level, and magic can do high or low damage depending on the spell and if magic is at a good level. Spells and missiles can run out of energy/ammo, while melee can't. But spell energy can be restored in combat, whereas ammo can't. Also spells are attributed different properties, meaning there is a chance that the spell has a chance of doing either really high damage, or really low damage (this is especially true at high level magic), whereas combat would do a similar amount of damage the whole time (excluding a few boss encounters where the resistances change).

  5. I don't know about the first thing.

The second thing varies. Acid does extra damage. Fire and ice against certain foes can do extra damage. Slowing, and cursing let you cause more damage. The only things that add to your blows are blessing crystals, steel spines and golden crystals, out of which golden crystals add the most. I haven't tried faster blows or drain life.
