Ideally I would like America to win the cup, but realistically, there's a good chance that the US will play Germany if the US makes it out of group play and Germany is a team that I don't think the US can beat. But until then, Go USA!

The first true milestone is one post away... I have too much time on my hands.

Umm... Clawbug swarms can hold their own. Especially if they've been around a while and had the chance to level up, which very possible in this game.

stand still animations, and smooth square transitions

You forgot the zone system like that used in G1-G5.

Well, thank goodness they left Nethergate out of the confusion.

Doom in Hebrew is actually the best explanation for the name of the game I've seen so far, so that is quite possible.

Well one thing that makes me consider a wireless mouse is that the computer in question (a laptop) only has USB ports on the left side of the computer, and I am right handed. That makes dragging a cord under/over/around/through the computer a hassle. For anyone that has a wireless mouse, how long do you batteries last? How old is your mouse? how is the signal strength? and does the signal interfere with other electronic devices (i.e. phones, speakers)? Does anyone have an opinion on laser versus optical mice?
-
What mouse are you using with your current computer? The one that came with the computer? A specialized mouse that you bought? As you can probably tell I am in the market for a new mouse. I have browsed the internet, and am considering the iHome Wireless Laser Mouse (mostly because I can get it locally), a Razer Gaming Mouse , or a Logitech Laser Mouse (you'll have to narrow the list). Does anyone have suggestions for other products, or any knowledge about any of the mentioned products?

Well, how else do you do it? The main character could get amnesia, but that's been done before. Using the aforementioned strategy also makes the player feel like they are unique and play a special role in the game universe, which no doubt helps keep the player interested.

A town by me celebrates pulling an anchor out of a lake.

You know, that name actually kind of works. Maybe I'll name my next cat mollusc.
-
Well that's one thing Geneforge has going for it. Everything is is zones, so it's easier to tell where you are, where you haven't been, and where you have to go.

I have been trying the demo and I am having trouble with one of the game mechanics. Most of the enemies I am fighting have a 40% chance of hitting me, while I have a 70% chance of hitting them, but it seems like the reverse. I've been keeping track and the enemies are hitting me more than I am hitting them. Has anyone else noticed this? Edit: Praise Jeff for being able to get the hit calculations right!

I think that the download is the full version with only a demo area open to exploration. Basilisk sure has high expectations for the game.

From your description it sounds like the game Fate, which RCCL mentioned. I kinda like Fate, but it is repetitive enough that I can't stay occupied with it for too long.

Well I think that creating life will take experimentation more than anything, and that's where you get into tricky waters. All the sensitive individuals will think that it's cruel to create life that may be suffering its entire existence. Honestly, using random genomes is unnecessary. There are obviously certain frameworks that can make life very similar, and all life share some DNA. Did you know humans share 13% of their DNA with sunflowers?

Economic Left/Right: -3.12 Social Libertarian/Authoritarian: -2.10 I'm not surprised by these results. Most of the issues I could come up with a middle ground. Honestly I think this isn't the greatest poll; I noticed several questions that were loaded one way or another, but for being free I'm not going to complain.

Congrats on the achievement Mystic!

I think DeviantArt may be a place you would be interested in checking out. I don't know much about it other than you can post artwork and writing.

Oh, a note about the electricity in a disposable camera. One of my friends made a taser out of a disposable camera once, and he said it scorched steel. You might want to be careful.

That is strangely symbolic. It's would be even funnier if one could construe the plane as the exit poll.

Hey what about the whole Iran thing? Them wanting us to get rid of our weapons when they don't tell us if they have any and not following any international treatise on nuclear arsenals? It's reasonable to ask the US to decrease their arsenal as long as you're playing by the rules, but if you're trying to cheat and not being very subtle about it, don't expect the US to make it easier for you.
