I could see slots being restricted to certain level scarabs, so the level 1 slot can only be filled by level 1 scarabs, etc. and then each scarab was permanent, but the scarab use would depend greatly on class, and since this is Jeff's first time really having classes I don't think he'd do that.

I thought that's what a scarab was. (Yes, I know all dung beetles are scarabs, but not all scarabs are dung beetles. Interestingly most of the scarabs found in egyptian culture, which is probably what scarabs are most know for, are dung beetles.)

Wait, wikipedian protest CITATION NEEDED What was 1,2, &3? Where are you getting this data? On another note, I don't own SC2, because I'm not that great at RTS games. I ruined my training by using resource cheats in AoE2. I'm decent at FPS, however.

The only web comic I read is XKCD, but you don't need to worry about that.

What game is AE? I can't figure it out.

Congrats Sarachim. Continue to make great posts!

I would like to clarify my first post. The word I was looking for was coincidentally/coincidence. I'm kinda surprised no one figured that out.

Ironically I was listening to iTunes when I read this. The song in particular is "Kings and Queens" by 30 Seconds to Mars. I think it's amazing.

See the problem is there hasn't been a war or disease that's killed off hundreds of thousands of people in a while. That would probably help curb population growth.

From what I hear France has a pretty good nuclear recycling program that, if implemented in the US, could get enough fuel out of current waste to run all the nuclear reactors in the US for 30 years. Nuclear power also has very high power output compared to solar and wind energy. The energy produced by one nuclear plant in a year can almost match (I don't remember if it's more or less) the energy produced by the entire US solar and/or (once again I don't remember which) wind industries in a year. Also this whole dealing with nuclear waste thing isn't too hard to figure out with where to put it. Just stick it way underground. Think about it, the materials that make oil and natural gas have been underground for millions of years and probably would have stayed there longer if humans hadn't dug them up. The largest problem is how to get the waste there.

I would definitely have to say that was a snippet from Indiana Jones: Raiders of the Lost Arc. Why not deal with Copyright infringement the same way some places deal with marijuana? If the person just has a little bit, take it away or fine them a $25-$100 penalty. Save the big punishment(s) for the dealer/distributor.

I'm curious to see what people say because I don't have much of a personality here. http://kevan.org/johari?name=the_ratt http://kevan.org/nohari?name=the_ratt

Maybe we don't get as many crazy teenagers as we used to because there is a much larger and more publicized RPG-type game that is all sucking them in, that also has an atmosphere more condusive to destructive/immature interaction.

I point at Thuryl and Aran! (Quick, someone go make a sexual reference for Slarty before he sees this!)

This was a crafting recipe in G4 that was supposedly removed from G5, if you can verify if it still works or not, that'd be great.

If you are going with Daze/Strong Daze as your primary method of crowd control, soaking every enemy in acid is not effective because it breaks the daze/strong daze at the beginning of each round. If you just have an acid coated weapon you get the acid effect on one target, which would be undazed anyway by your blows. If you don't daze I don't know enough of the numbers to know how much damage stronger blows adds per hit. However, golden crystals add a decent resistance bonus to armor, which adds up to good resistances when multiple golden crystals are used on armor. As a warning I am not a torment level players so my word should not be the final word. Hope this helped.

I like the idea behind it, people making themselves more exposed so they are more considerate, but many people like the internet just for the opposite reason. They like being able to satisfy their vices and torment others while feeling hidden and secure. The internet truly does expose some of the worst aspects of society.

I think he meant G3. The G key and the T key are right next to each other. I am wondering why he just doesn't do the mini-map like G5. I never had any trouble navigating with that.

You could always use a spawn of google such as Ninja.com, or Blackle.com, or one of their other custom searches that are really google in disguise. Rather unrelated, this thread made me first google, then wikipedia, 4chan. I find the basis of the site and its implications very captivating. It really makes me want to learn more about psychology.

Well, I first of all, I think it would be ineffective to take a half-hearted swipe with a huge sword or do a overhead dagger swing. I don't mind the animations too much. It really makes the game go by faster. I could see so additional animations for special attacks, but watching your character wind up, strike, and withdraw every... single... time... would add a lot of time to the game.

I am intrigued by this idea, but don't know enough about the Arthurian legends to know how many quests could be made, or how the story would play out.
