  1. It's not the quantity... Or so I've heard.
  2. Whoa Finland got *trashed* in hockey.
  3. I have a bad feeling about this.

More like the third, IIRC. Oh, and I think I'll go for Polaris. Just because.
  5. I'm on Quothe's mission, checking Gorash-Kel for the unbound. Got the dialogue telling me they're there, but had to exitzone out of the area due to a *badly* timed save. Quothe's dialogue doesn't list the option to report what I saw, so I'm assuming the cheat messed the game up here. Returning to Gorash-Kel doesn't help, the dialogue doesn't pop up again. I understand that it would be possible to manipulate the SDFs in order to fix this, but how exactly?
  6. I'm currently re-reading Evening Class my Maeve Binchy.

  8. I have encountered the same kind of problem as the user above. The game slows considerably whenever a dialogue box or the character's inventory or ability screen is opened.
  9. Surely there is no need to try to constantly force french on people who would rather use english to communicate on these boards? As to the original subject: The story of Geneforge and the madness caused by it's powers has been an interesting one to follow, but I would rather see a defining *final* game of the series now, than have to witness the degrading of the series due to a neverending flow of forced sequels of sequels.
  10. The Spiderweb games seem to have been taken off now.
  11. Yeah. The sheer amount of filler text in the Wheel of Time-series will keep you occupied for a while.
  12. Isn't it also possible in Nethergate to CLICK on the keywords, instead of typing them in? Or do I remember totally wrong?
  13. So that line alone made the rest of the script fail? Wow. Thanks a bunch, I'll try it out.
  14. Code: begintownscript; variables; body; beginstate INIT_STATE; set_name(6,"Commander Cidius"); set_crime_tolerance(1); void enable_add_chars(0); break; beginstate EXIT_STATE; break; beginstate START_STATE; break; beginstate 15; end_scenario(0); break; beginstate 20; // stairway message_dialog("You walk downstairs.",""); move_to_new_town(2,5,22); break;
  15. How hard can it be to get a stairway to function properly? So far, I have this: Code: beginstate 20; // stairway message_dialog("You walk downstairs.",""); move_to_new_town(2,5,22);break; I keep getting an error message, "unknown command void on line 11" or something like that. I tried with the void-prefix too, only to get the same result.
  16. I would say no. Or at least my version of it has an interface different from the first screenshot...
  17. Quote: Originally written by Nioca: On the flip side of the coin, when it comes to BoA selling poorly, it also somewhat limited the potential for a flood of bad scenarios. In BoE, there are 95 scenarios rated a 6 or more, and 112 scenarios rated 4 or less (This isn't counting movies or utilities). That's a ratio of 1.17 bad scenarios for every good scenario. In BoA, there are 22 scenarios rated 6 or more, and 4 scenarios rated 4 or less. This equates to a ratio of 5.5 good scenarios for every bad scenario. I'll let you draw your own conclusion. Might be only me, but some Bldes of Avernum scenarios are little overated too.
  18. Quote: Wikipedia: Blender was developed as an in-house application by the Dutch animation studio NeoGeo (not to be confused with the Neo-Geo game console) and Not a Number Technologies (NaN); the main author, Ton Roosendaal, founded NaN in June 1998 to further develop and distribute the program. The program was initially distributed as shareware until NaN went bankrupt in 2002. The creditors agreed to release Blender as free software, under the terms of the GNU General Public License, for a one-time payment of €100,000. On July 18, 2002, a Blender funding campaign was started by Roosendaal in order to collect donations and on September 7, 2002 it was announced that enough funds had been collected and that the Blender source code would be released. Blender is now a free/open source program being actively developed by the Blender Foundation. Maybe something like this could be attempted... with a smaller amount of money, naturally, given how the userbase of Blades of Avernum is loads smaller than that of Blender's.
  19. Being on PC I have not got to play Geneforge 4 yet, but it does sound silly that Shock Trooper would be a weak class because the name says otherwise.
  20. Out of intrest, how does this Wingbolt-creature look like? Screenshots any one?
  21. Wrong forum, heh? Intresting data however. I currently wish my family just had a mac in addition to this PC.
