  1. G1: Storyline says the Shapers won You start as a shaper. G2: Storyline says the Shapers won. You start as a Shaper. G3: Storyline says the Shapers won, you start as a Shaper. G4: You are told that the rebels won, you start as a rebel.
  2. Delicious Vlish. Primary Attack: Terror beam. Melee Attack: Festy tentical slap of pain! (I might have miss-spelled Tentical, if so please forgive.)

  5. But beware, as I recall the monsters won't stop spawning and the acid poisioning will get worse the further you go in.
  6. *Has nightmares about I KNOW I AM AN I-D-I-O-T topics* My IQ was tested at 131 if anyone inquires.
  7. CHEESEBALL 2!!1one!!!1one and half! (Yes, I loved him)

The only complaint I have over the two engines is that in Exile you could target were the monster appears. It was rather a nice irony to blast 4 Empire Champions into Rentar's fortress ahead of you.

  10. I think the shapers are trapped in a circle. They played god and in doing so became gods themselfs, through the Geneforge and canisters. Even if they win, they will never be the same again. They created life, now they must either Transcend, or cease.
  11. I just use the standard hack'n slash. I don't play these games for the combat. BUT at least the easy win system has been ironed out since Exile. What you did there was simple. Enter combat mode, maste your tank and attack. Then end combat mode. Your party would then be about 3-4 spaces away from the enemy, who in normal movment could now only move one space. You just needed to do more of the same. I could kill 400-HP monsters that way with ease. The only thing you feared was Web and Slow.

  14. Actually, I liked the charged creations idea. Rothdiziron's are incredibly over-priced and over-rated when a pair of normal Rot's could do twice the damage. Charged Rot's are great for "Stay at begining of area spam creations" tactic. In fact I've thought more then a few times if it's at all balanced. As a Shock Trall can happily smash it's way through most enemies, Unstable Thahds made mince-meat of Shilia (sp?) and Charged Vlish easily broke the circle of the drake.
  15. Actually I think "reset all towns" (Might not be an exact wording) would be more applicable.

  17. Much as we may appriciate this... The Geneforge. How to use it. Simply follow the instructions given. Your character will automatically use it when s/he enters the Geneforge Room. What it does. In basic principle, the Geneforge is a super-canister. Whoever uses it has their DNA radically, permanantly altered. Anyone who is not properly and purely trained for its use will die or be horrifically warped if they attempt its use. Can I not use it? No. Even if you use the [Exitzone] cheat everyone will act as if you used it. Nothing will be changed by not using it. If I did the above, can I still use Northforge's Geneforge? No. You will die. Don't push. A slightly more comprehensive version of the above. [Fades into darkness]
  18. Thats something that TM did in Renegade. Well, not exactly. But I'd like to see those little tricks incorperated into a possible future game.
  19. Yes. In the end you become an Avatar, slay the king of Avernum and learn that Rentar was Garzhad all along.
  20. I think I recall one talk-mode that was slightly differant then the human one's. Thats about it. As far as I know it makes no differance.
  21. Geneforge 1. You can use canisters without fear. Plus the Ancient's Sub-plot was well done. Pity it passed out in later games.
  22. The second you see the choices for the Rebel fort on San Ru you will know.
