You mean, if I put say a Shielding Knife in a quickslot while using a Bonding Knife I'd get 8+ to Defence (I think thats right) 1- to all primary statistics and 5+ to Endurance. Not sure I got all the item stats right, but you get the general idea.

Collect canisters throughout the game to increase your own power and gain new spells? Prehaps even summon a few lesser automated creations to fight on your side?
-
Just a quick question on the side: If you do decide to join the Darkside, who hate non-humans, what happens to your non-human party members? As non-spoiler as possible please. J

Avervnum story line
Jeran Korak replied to Grindstone's topic in Avernum Trilogy (2000-2002 original versions)
Continuity, certainly. I felt horrid when I was told in A3 that all the parties in the lower caves (I absolutely refuse to try and spell that god-awful name) had been killed. -

What is better Shapers or Rebels?
Jeran Korak replied to I9am8shaper7hear6me5roar49's topic in Geneforge Series
Both of them are fanatical fools. Trakovite all the way. If the rebels win, they want ALL creation laws gone, what kind of insanity would that be!? Shapers want creations to have zilch rights, if they win, the common folk are kept under a brutal reign and the shapers put up new laws that allow effetively the instant and un-provoked extermination of any group if they are found to be even talking about creations in a wrong way. Cruel and fanatical. Trakovites on the other hand wish to abolish shaping, as far as I know however, they do not express any desire to actually destroy creations. Meaning that Serviles and Ornks would probably survive. -

If you can't Shape Ornks, pretty much anything will do. Fyoras, Thahds. . . Not as efficient, but it should do. You neglect one problem not thought of in the games. Shaping would take effort, and time. You can't shape Serviles that easily, but why not? They obviously take a lot of energy to create, and are more intelligent. The basic principle of energy conversion is output and input are never equal (Or something like that I believe). You'd literally be eating yourself. And seeing as PC creations can be absorbed at will, makes you wonder just what creations are actually made of, and if it'd be good to eat! -

A4 - Help, Shade wont die!

It's impossible to kill it without doing the quests that allow you to; even if you somehow do enough damage to bring its health down to zero, it'll just stay at 1 health and not die. Even if you don't remember the quests to bring a piece of the shade to Correlea in the Castle and find the control rod in Rentar's first keep, you must have done them if you killed the shades. Thats what I meant. -

Unbound are huge, mindless Drakons gifted with as much power as a physical body can take. You read in the text (not directly but you get the impression) that they are as powerful as it is possible for a physical creature to be. But in so doing they have become totally, utterly, mindless Not savage, not rogue, just mindless. Incapable of any rational thought, such is the power that they barely contain. They were created as endgame, doomsday, armageddon. The ultimate weapon to obliterate the shapers. In other words; no. You will not create them.

Thats odd, I came through there first as an all-mage/priest party and brought it down to low health in a barrage of fireballs. The script activated and I was told I won.

There's also a funny way to cheat the Tower of Magi Timer in the roach pit. But yours is a little more interesting *Heads out*

Do we still do troll of the month? But seriously, there is actually some sneaky evidence lying around that coinnects Avernum to Geneforge. No really I mean it. I'm not joking.

Magic is specialized. Some monsters will be damaged more by one type then another. Fire creations for example will die quicker with mental damage spells and Kill while Magic creations will barely be effected by the above examples.

Are there any locked doors you can't get through? If not that, then wave the cursor over hidden areas. If that dosent work, its somewere else.
