    Thanks, Lion.

I'm a big Homeworld 2 fan. But, I just updated to Lion on my MacBook (oops, apparently). I lost a few apps, nothing big, but not being able to play Homeworld 2 is something I'd like to change. How well does WineBottler or WineSkin work with creating Lion-ready apps? I saw the revamped Lion Avernum versions, which is what gave me the idea.

    Handloading

Handloading can be useful where you require exceptional accuracy in a single round (long range rifle comp), where you require massive amounts of ammo (pistol comp), or in your father's case where ammunition is no longer available. Other than that, I do it myself where I can as a hobby. Most of my hobbies have been mechanically inclined, so when I developed a professional interest in guns which later expanded to a personal hobby I decided to take up handloading.

    Handloading

I've never really considered reloading shotshells... in southern Alberta, they're not terribly expensive and can be bought in great quantities. I am also considering membership in an action rifle league, so .223 REM is on the table as well. 3-gun competitions are a little far away at the moment, but they are a possibility. @ Sylae: I know it's a pain to dig up data you know off by heart without having to look at the book anymore, but I am curious as to how you load your .223's. If you come across the bullet weight, type, powder load etc. I'd love to see it. @ Radix: I'll take any advice I can get! A motto of the Canadian Forces is "Train as you will Fight," and I think that holds true for militaries around the world. It seems a lot of people like the classic RCBS single-stage manual press. I'd be perfectly happy with one to start as I had a chance to use one once and really liked it... but I would want to move up to a turret or progressive rig at some point, as my gun interests are leaning towards semi-automatic. The 9x19 definitely has the most attractive balance between accuracy and recoil that I've experienced yet... I aim to explore several other pistol cartridges like .40 S&W, .45 ACP and possibly .357 magnum, though I'm not much for revolvers. EDIT: @ Slarty... Hopefully that won't be the case.

    Handloading

So this goes out to any members out there that are interested in hunting, plinking or handloading. There's got to be a few of you out there somewhere. I'm interested in what equipment you use if you handload, and even if you don't I'm interested in what you've heard about the different manufacturers. Advice on choosing a cartridge for competition this spring would also be most welcome. The 9x19mm is currently the most attractive to me.
  5. Last year's resolutions went... poorly. Resolutions were much the same for this year: run more. Lift more. Eat less crap food. Seeing as I type this while holding a banana/chocolate chip muffin does not bode well for this year either. I'll be paying for that...
  6. I... can't even begin to count. I found the first Geneforge game when I was ten, and nearly eight years later I'm still playing it. It's slightly disturbing how much I played it. Though I haven't been playing nearly as much lately. Ballpark estimate... over 800 hours.
  7. ...thing is, I wasn't using a new version. I bought a Ten for X games pack seven years ago and it came with a copy of G1. I was running that copy. So I guess I'm asking why DIDN'T anything happen, and will something happen if I upgrade my OS?
  8. I understand that there are issues concerning legacy code in these particular games that make them incompatible with Intel Macs. However, I ran G1 on my Intel MacBook (old version) with no problems whatsoever. What exactly was the problem with the old games, and should I get the new versions anyway?
  9. This seems like it may be a common question, so I'll apologize in advance... I've managed to get ahold of a MacBook (brand new, so Intel) and I need to get ahold of the rereleases for G1-3 on Intel. Am I required to purchase another copy of these games or is there a process for users to receive the updated version if they've already purchased the old one?
  10. The movies were extremely good, it's a pity they couldn't follow the books a little more.
  11. I have the code from my old GF4 editor, and I have the time and patience to create an editor for GF5. Problem: My GF4 editor was based on the crude editor that ET had originally created. I don't know how to create an editor from scratch. If someone were to set up a signpost or similar object to act as the access point, I could do the rest. I can't figure out how to get a signpost to have more than the one conversation point.
  12. I think it may be interesting if poison did more damage over time up to a certain point before decreasing in damage per round, while acid did less damage over time to a certain point.
  13. It's been tested. I use it whenever I play as a rebel.
  14. You can also press SHIFT+D, type in "iloveserviles," and she will not attack you.
  15. I remember that there was a complete list of the pylons necessary to accessing the temple in Schrodinger's walkthrough.
