is there any file i can go to and adjust the keys the way i want them to be???

I remember ones I wanted to go through all of the avernums and found that in one of them I couldn’t use the arrow keys to walk straight due to the fact that I have windows and not a Mac. Is there still no way around that problem???

This might be a dumb question Is it possible to copy and paste the code from avernum 3 for it? The games look virtually identical and the code seems similar. There doesn’t really need to be a picture in the train window just the ability. Or could I simply change the statistics for one of the already existing potions. Change the icon and effect of something like curing elixir. Naturally I would rename it and adjust the ingredients it would take to make it.

Has anyone tried adding Knowledge Brew to the potions you can make your self like in Avernum 3?

It is somewhat of a disappointment if you played it on BoE, not just because it is the same story, but also because the BoE version was slightly better. If I remember correctly there are more things that tell you about what happened in the school in the BoE version. You spend over 75% of the game inside the school, it is kind of important to constantly get clues as to what happened inside. This is part of the reason I want some one to work on making a scenario about it. I really feel some loose ends of the story line need to be tied up. Why didn’t anyone just flip the damn switch and dispose of the poisons? Why would some leave a huge live dragon in the cell instead of just killing it? Why was the school closed to begin with? I mean it is the biggest magic school in any of the avernums I played seems strange to just close it up.

yeap i cant find him when i travel back i used the editor and saw that he is suposed to be in the town where u first appear, but i am yet to find what triggers it

Me again…sorry lol I got the dreadcurse from digging up the grave of the kitty chief and I cant find anyone to remove it. I am using my first true (as in not edited) singleton. He relies way way waaayyy too much on spells and I cant use many of them now. So is it game over do I exit the scenario or is there some one there that can remove it?

I think i have searched almost everywhere and i cant find the guy that steals the letter from me!!! Where is that runt hiding???? I did view the recording in the goblin cave but it doesn’t give me any clues as to where he is. It only says that what is in my possession is a fake.

Really??? Isn’t it kinda like leaving the scenario before you finish the job? I always picked fighting the chief but if that’s it thanks a lot.

The readme says there are two endings i can only get one...can i get a hint or two...plz?

You could have two choices for an adventure. Help Palathius (did I get this right???) Mage set things up to save the valley. Or you could Help Vennia assassinate the mages and close the school. As for the entrance into it, you can be the one that brings the message from the emperor that the school needs to be shut down. I totally fell in love with VoDT back when I played it in blades of exile. It is one of the best if not the best in my eyes. It is a shame no one wants to make a prelude, but not messing with Jeff’s stories does make sense. VoDT and Zakazi-Run were probably replayed by me more times then any other scenario. The only thing I kinda hated about zakazi was the fact that I couldn’t go back. . .but that’s part why I replayed it so freaken much.

Has anyone ever considered making a prelude to the valley of dying things? Like what really happened and why did the school have to be abandoned. I cant really make scenarios, but if some one was to make it for the contest….and you’ll be able to import a lot of the maps. The person would probably need to play the exile version first since it has a lot more info on what happened.

Is there any way i can change the amount of slots alowed for items??? If that is even possible please point me in the right direction.

Can anyone provide quotes of shaper oppression of humans? They don’t rescue them sometimes, but that’s not really oppression. A human can’t start a fight with a shaper and expect to get the same punishment as fighting a normal human, but same goes in any liberal country if you fight a policeman. There are restrictions on freedom of speech, but even USA has restrictions and that’s like…the FIRST amendment. Shapers put down riots THE SAME WAY ANY COUNTRY IN THE WORLD DOES. With force. I am by no means trying to say that shapers are good. Odds are that if I lived in Geneforge world I would ***** about shapers day and night, I don’t however think they are bad enough to start a HUGE war over. Everything written above is only true if you are a human. Yes I would fight tooth and nail if I was a drakon and odds are I would send out the unbound way before they did.

I am making an assumption here so please don’t flame me. If Greta survives she will remember the battles with Shaper Monarch and the chances of shaping art being available to everyone will start to change fast. Or she doesn’t survive and the drakons will have to deal with several Shaper Monarch wanabees and quickly change the laws. I didn’t pick this up from the story line so perhaps some one here can help me out. If the rebellion really is all about shaping being available to every one. Why wasnt every human in the base trained to use the geneforge?

I have only played G3 and G4 so I need to ask a question. Has anyone ever reshaped themselves to appear different? Or can they only make them selves stronger and bigger? I am kind of curious if the drakons can give them selves hands because if they can’t that sort of is a major flaw.

But emp we don’t know this. Yes we are almost certain that drakons would have more problems then humans, but we don’t know it would be that bad. Eventually a drakon or two will figure out that if they start up a farm they can sell the food at high prices and build up their hoard or something like that. Now about bolts…..can’t they just reshape them selves? It won’t be the first time.

I know that’s what she says now i am wondering if she would have switched sides at the beginning if she knew that unbound would be needed only for the SURVIVAL of the rebellion, not even a victory. She has no choice now she is considered as bad as a drakon and that is pretty much the whole point of people who are disappointed in the rebels after G4. The rebels were always controversial, but they had a clear cut mission to free the world from shaper oppression. After the unbound who will see the rebels as liberators? True rebels have killed innocent bystanders before and that is an unfortunate reality of any war, but this is completely different. The strategy the rebels have chosen makes civilians prime targets. The thread is about ideologies and the only ideology I now see in the rebels is the doctrine to keep forces on the mainland at all cost.

I think shapers would keep their words IF they did ally with drayka, but I highly doubt they would ever consider it. They might team up with an individual drayk, but to ally with a drayk tribe or two…you seriously think that’s possible?

How many shapers switched over to the rebellions side? I consider that evidence of an internal strife. Yes Alwan accepts your character no matter what he/she is but can you imagine the shapers counsel accepting a few hundred drayks as allies?

Suspicious Vlish do you think the rebellion is staying true to the ideas that set it in motion? Rebellions ideology as I remember was to free creations and people from shaper oppression. What is it now? Would Litalia switch sides if she knew that the rebellion would have to resort to something like unbound? Just your opinion.

A lot is being said about drakons being left by other rebel divisions, but not all drayks are rebelling and lets look at shapers and you will see the very same internal rebellion. This rebellion however is where drakons are superior. There is no way in hell shapers will team up with the drayks but drakons teamed up with rebel humans.

Finished the game with a warrior and a life crafter. Lifecrafters are WAY more powerful. One thing that really made me love lifecrafters are the essence pools. Essence pools make even pyroroamers useful u can send those things out 7 at a time to take care of anything, and essence pools call for an occasion to spawn those charged creations. I know I know warriors can do this too but something about beefing those creations up to the max b4 sending them out and making so many of them...it feels great. Even wile playing on torment it is easy Just hold your PC back and let your creations do everything if they die chug a few essence pods and make more. If you are having ANY difficulties with a lifecrafter it is probably because you are not using essence shield or you have moral issues with sending your creations to their doom just to soften up the enemy for a brand new wave.

If we are going to talk about evolution then I want to make a statement that drakons did not evolve over 20 years. They started out with the first shaped creation and as the skill of the shapers increased they were created. I phrased this very poorly but I hope I made my point. Both sides need to learn how to concede otherwise this will never end. Unbound vs variety: its all about the tactics you are using I think this is a perfect tie. There is no point for drakons to invest in precession strikes their targets are HUGE. From what I saw in the game shapers and drakons have virtually identical shaping abilities, but shapers might be slightly winning because they are producing the same results with restrictions. I think the argument that Drakons are superior fighters is not valid….hear me out. Drakons are all reshaped so we must compare their physical and magical properties to fully reshaped shapers and it seems that it’s about even. If u strip a drakon of all the reshaping what would it be? One argument to make the drakons look inferior is also not valid. The argument was that drakons don’t work or at least don’t work as much as the other creations. It is a war! You will make the best fighters warriors and the worst ones farmers and workers. We keep using unbound as an ultimate achievement of the drakons so I want every one arguing to answer this question If the shapers wanted to, could they have made the unbound? Please answer this question so that we can stop using them as some sort of an achievement for the drakons. If you think the shapers couldn’t I would like to hear the argument. Otherwise lets please stop using them as some sort of an accomplishment that was beyond the shapers. We can argue that it was a brilliant tactical move by the drakons but that’s another argument. From all the arguments that I’ve read most end up being perfect ties. There are a few very minor victories and in my eyes shapers are winning but not by much. Hopefully geneforge 5 will shed more light on this question my money is still on the fact that it’s a tie and that Jeff wanted it that way.
