I purchased Avernum 4.0, and now I just downloaded 4.0.1. I did this:
Moved aside my current Avernum 4 f folder.
Installed 4.0.1.
Removed the 4.0.1 "Avernum 4 Files/Save*" directories.
Copied my 4.0 "Avernum 4 Files/Save*" directories into the 4.0.1 tree.
After this, I could load my games and things seemed to work. However, I don't want to find out after playing on for a few days that there is some horrible show-stopping problem.
