Congratulations on doing the hardest solo game. The Spirit Temple fight is extremely hard for a guardian as you need to catch them with a spray baton before they hit you with mental effects. it is possible but requires more luck than other fights. My apologies since I might have been the only torment difficulty beta tester. Jeff viewed it as as long as it was possible, he didn't need to adjust it.

Hand quests are like that so you have to take the Hand for that zone or skip the zone completely. Some of the other ones don't force the choice at the zone entrance, but at a spot inside the zone. After you finish the Hand quest or skip the zone, you can go back to Avadon and get Nathalie.

After flipping the levers you need to walk up to the double doors between the two rooms so they will open.
-
I depends upon the servant mind and which faction you are with at the time. For instance the Servile Warren mind, Control Three, can be fed to gain access to that room to the south and then you can join the Takers and order it to die. The Spiral Warren mind can be fed for the Obeyers and then later die for the Awakeed. Or if you are only joining the Awakened you could feed it immediately and then order it to die to collect extra experience.

None of the games allowed importing characters from a previous game and with the change in abilities the save game coding will be different. Queen's Wish gives you an endgame code that you can enter in the next game, but we have no idea what it does beyond carrying some decision information. Welcome to Spiderweb Software, Please leave your sanity at the door. We are taking up a collection to send to the US Congress.

It will take some reloads to figure out the timing, but you can get through the Kazg Ruins by going along the bottom and right side and then the top to reach Rosen who will let you into Kazg. You just need to wait until the patrol moves away and around the corner. Otherwise you would need to get some more experience by going up through the zones north of Pentil and the Junkyard.

Veteran and torment difficulties mean friendly fire from everything but a roamer's Fiery Wind attack. However I still prefer creations where you can give them a no cool down ability so they cabn spam their attacks. I didn't see this in beta testing, but the current game version, I now see swarms of claw bugs in the Wastes and a few other places they cluster to attack..
-
It takes a little practice, but you do get better with party placement to avoid hitting your own party members. You really do want those AoE attacks because there will be more swarms and with no cool down period you can get more of them in a round. The fyora does less damage per attack than your guardian, but with a few those attacks add up, In the next few zones where you can face swarms you really want them. Having more levels from using all 5 of the top row means more health for your creation, but more importantly a better to hit chance and more damage. The chances of going rogue aren't that great and with more health less likely since the damage taken will be a smaller percentage of total health.

Finished up the torment play through and some comments on things that you can do: Watchhill is doable by Seerula, but it might take several tries to first get everything cleared and then keeping healed and using War Blessing to do enough damage to get it done. Too many spawned creations and just reload because the fight will never end. Hold off on stealth until finishing the Refugee Cave lets you lure lots more creations back to guards that can kill them for experience. However Crag Valley is not worth finishing because the thahds leap to melee making it harder to do and the roamers do too much damage at this point. The downside is that it is harder to sneak through the Thorny Fens and Pentil Woods two times so you can get the Clear Pentil Gates quest. So save often and make more than one save. After Pentil you should lure the cryoas in Ellhrah's Keep back to the guards to get the. Cure Affliction canister. While the Thorny Woods is combat heavy, you can lure all the hostile creations back to Demel to do the killing. This gives you some loot and unlocks the Servile Outpost quest for more loot and leadership experience talking to Doge and Dina. however the fight there is hard even with constant buffing and healing so buy up healing and curing spores from Vakkiri and Pentil to use here. Kazg Ruins have two places where you can lure creations to the patrols, but sometimes they won't follow if you get too far ahead. But the battle alpha in the southeast area guards an Essence Shield canister that is very helpful. Lure the Tribal Woods east path creations back to the guards so you can visit Holding Two for some easy experience. This will give you the easier route into the Refugee Cave and let you meet the Sholai. Then you can lure the 11 battle alphas back to them so they can kill them for you. Now you can get stealth to do the Eastern Docks pylons. Follow behind the glaahks to loot the storerooms. Don't forget to get Thrackerzod's quest for Yu-La's Treasures for experience in the Barren's Outpost. Sneaking through the Servile Warrens is hard with lots of ducking into rooms to avoid patrols, but the Endurance, Essence Shield, and Mass Energize canister make it worth trying. Save often because it takes dozens of tries to avoid the roamer patrols. The Sentinels acid pools can be dealt with in combat mode to give you time to heal up. The Great Temple needs mechanics 14 to disable to last box mines guarding the mechanics 10 trap check to get the real Shaper Gloves. Having mechanics 14 makes the Hill trivial using living tools to unlock doors for lots of loot and experience. It takes less living tools than you think. Once you visit Trajkov in the Geneforge you can get his Amulet to allow free access to most zones his forces controls and get the to kill in the Winding Road Also by this point you should have enough health to survive to do the Kill Oroborus part of the Tale of the Ascended quest line to Kure her to the incinerator.

GF1-M - Atlas to Quests and Items [Massive Spoilers]

Action is how the serviles feel about what you are doing. Positive means you are helping them out with doing quests and negative is getting caught stealing, causing places that were friendly to go hostile, and things to hurt a servile. This can make some places not want to do business with you, -
Go through the south control area with mechanics and talk to the servant mind to turn things off later. Essence shield and protection will reduce damage, but you might want to stay in combat mode just to have time for healing if you are taking too much damage and not paying attention to fixing it.
-
Maximum mechanics for traps and power spirals you will encounter is 14, but with Tinker's gloves giving +2 you can do almost the entire game with your total in the 10 to 12 range. Leadership of 9 or 10 will be enough with the maximum check being 12. Girdle of Leadership is +2. You can get by with 5 if yo don't mind fighting, There are trainers for +1 in Mechanics and Leadership (if you aren't a Taker/Sholiai aligned).
-
You can click on a creation or use its number to have it move without the party, but it is harder and I usually do it by accident. Drag your character down in the party roster to the back when you aren't in combat and aren't dealing with mines and traps to protect yourself. This will place your creations in front.
-
Yes, there is a moderate leadership check to turn off the traps (pylons).
-
The mind only shuts down the outer crypt pylons so you still have to deal with more.
-
This was considered an Expert area in the original version and I try to wait until level 17 or 18 to do it even on normal difficulty. Creations are constantly spawned, but after you kill enough there is a break before more appear. This area needs more than 3 creations unless you are playing a guardian or agent to use area attacks when they start to swarm.
-
Using the Geneforge gives enough agility to boost evasion so most creations are at 5% to hit chance. Silll when they hit it's a critical and mental effects may mean you do nothing for several rounds.

Need advice on Feisty Slap Glove (LOL) Guardian
Randomizer replied to BenS's topic in Geneforge 1 - Mutagen
I was using them for a melee guardian and it was emotionally satisfying to walk up to a pylon and slap it without dying from the exploding damage. However even with higher health from endurance and evasion, two at a time is the limit. -
Things that affect the ending: Leaving before reaching the Geneforge - Trajkov victory Giving the real gloves to Trajkov Killing Trajkov and telling Goettsch Using the Geneforge Destroying the Geneforge Killing a sect leader
-
There is one in the Drayk's Valley. The Inner Crypt is a spare or joke by Jeff.
-
The Hidden Rebels are Takers hiding in the Thorny Woods south of East Pentil. You need to kill their leader, Ezog, or lure them out to let Demel and his fyoras do the dirty work for you.
