The package for delivery in Lorelei is a special item and you can go back to Bigail to get it again. Just don't go through guard posts when carrying it. There are plenty of places like Gale where you can buy skribane and as you get near there you will occasionally find it as loot.

The favor vassal dialogue appears in the 4 things you can do for the Borgen to make them sign. Welcome to Spiderweb Software. Please lead your sanity at the door. You don't mind that you can't figure things out.

Penalty / game changes for time going by
Randomizer replied to MrCredibility's topic in Queen's Wish: The Conqueror
There is one medal for finishing the game in 100 days. Excessive resting instead of exploring/clearing dungeons causes resources to drop. Nothing else matters. -
Is there a debug command that displayes SDFs?
Randomizer replied to MaxRavenclaw's topic in Avadon Series
The endings are more dependent on what you say to Redbeard at the end. Your sdf mostly triggers dialogue lines in the mean time. -
From some of my games: Treaty for vassals last letter - the Vol - o for Mascha, n for Owen second to last letter - Ahriel - o for Trench Town, p for Blessed third to last letter - Utak - r for Brokk, s for Borgen I'm not sure and will need to look back at some endings from saved games 7th letter is a for no dreams and b for all dreams There are possibly for whether - you crush the opposition in each vassal state - loyalty to queen (2nd, 3rd, or 5th letter) - plans for future - the different deals in the Tower

The Second Age, after the Silmarillion, is coming soon to Amazon.

You need to complete enough puzzles to get the Puzzle Master medal. They are a fun game within a game and easier than some puzzles in previous games. The only important puzzles are the key ones to unlock the gates in the Refuges.

Anyone got both the iOS version and the PC version?
Randomizer replied to rist's topic in Queen's Wish: The Conqueror
Exile had a spell that would give monster information. It's mostly useful near the end on figuring out why the monsters keep evading and resisting some attacks. -
Damage formulas
Randomizer replied to Punctuation rains from the heavens's topic in Queen's Wish: The Conqueror
There are no distance penalties for damage. -
After completing everything in Greatport upstairs you need to leave the town and return after getting the message about the ships arriving. There will be Havenites that have come on the ships to talk to and the door will now be unlocked.

Avernum 3: Stuck in Golem Factory
Randomizer replied to somnolent49's topic in Avernum Trilogy (2011-2018 remake versions)
My guess is you didn't set the control panel completely correct on the floor below since I've never seen that magical barrier. The ones on the right side of the screen can be removed by the dispel barrier spell, but some need level 3. From the Hint Book the settings on the Control Panel are (some are called differently on the panel): Grid Beta Grid Alpha Shielding First Shielding Second Generator Fuses Generation Intensity to Low the other buttons do nothing or make things worse. Alpha and Star remove the laser beams blocking passages. Good luck Welcome to Spiderweb Software. Please leave your sanity at the door. Oops! Too late for this warning. -
Most Tier 2 weapons require at least 4 smithies and Tier 3 are at 7 smithies. This doesn't apply to found and purchased outside the forts weapons. However these are usually worse than fort purchased weapons. Go into The Vol to find physical damage and the Ahriel for arcane weapons. Depending upon the game difficulty level you are playing, you want weapons other than two-handed staves so you can use a shield. Also you can get better armor against physical damage. While you can play without them, on the hardest difficulty levels it may make a difference.
-
Weapons that don't have enough shops to make them do half damage as you can't repair them when you reach a fort. Also you will need more than 3 smithies to have tier 3 weapons.

"The people of your colony are uninspired" message?
Randomizer replied to mikeprichard's topic in Queen's Wish: The Conqueror
I'm guessing from something Jeff mentioned during testing that this message appears to players who aren't exploring new areas. For example repeatedly resting in bed to build up resources. -
I'm pretty sure it was just placed there as another hint about what Jeff was planning to do in Exile 2. The fact that you can't dispel the barriers in normal play is a big clue. Also Jeff in later games would have inaccessible areas that appeared on maps or things that he planned to use and changed his mind. There's supposed to be in Geneforge 4 a gazer trapped in a room that never opens.

Missed the Dreams (Spoilers)
Randomizer replied to HooliganBarlow's topic in Queen's Wish: The Conqueror
Avoiding all the dreams does give you one thing that makes it a better ending, but I think you have to have some dreams to get the dialogue line in the Nisse Tower that explains why it's better. You do get a hint from the Queen in the Tower. On the other hand getting the Room 2 dreams each gives you a Special Item bonus that helps your character. But you didn't need what you lose. -
Missed the Dreams (Spoilers)
Randomizer replied to HooliganBarlow's topic in Queen's Wish: The Conqueror
The easiest way to see the dreams is to open the game package and find in the scripts folder the three refugee.dlg text files to scroll through for the dreams. Not experiencing the dreams will change the game's ending as you find out. -
Since this is a series there will be more encounters with the Nisse in the future and with this being the first game where your actions can be carried over to the next game. So depending upon your choices some people will know about the Nisse.

The Warped Spear is hidden in the Deepest Farms of the Nisse Lands: The Warped Spear (two-handed tier 3 arcane, 20% speed bonus, +10% to physical evasion, 3 slots, hits are critical (20%), vulnerable for 2 turns (50%)) damage isn't as good, but the speed bonus is good at least in older game versions.

It depends on difficulty level and what you bring to the fight as consumables in your backpacks. Also there are chests on the two levels below with some scrolls. You want scrolls to buff your party and heal them so you can save energy for attacks and major healing. It helps to wipe out anything that can cast spells first as soon as you get them in range. Area attacks are important. You want to avoid letting them get near you so summons can delay them in the sides. I have most of my characters stand in the center platform so I can do range attacks long before the fighters can do melee attacks on my party. The first few times you do this fight are the hardest because you don't know what's going to happen next. Good luck

I put a chest inside the smithy since I can sell items and attach augments without having to go upstairs to get them.

G4, I *was* having a great time. Edit: I had a great time
Randomizer replied to Chopkinsca's topic in Geneforge Series
There can be several zones that are frustrating unless you go through them certain ways. Endless spawners are some of the worst until you destroy the spawning site or cross the zone and reach the real spawning site. Basically you can be worn down until you die trying to just fight the creations as they come at you. Although the change to 9 action points in this game makes it easier to cross zones to reach spawners. Geneforge more than any other series has bad ethical choices. Trying to do the right thing isn't always possible in order to satisfy a quest giver and your conscience. So don't feel that bad and if you replay the game you can sometimes make a different choice earlier in the game to avoid the bad one later on in the game. -
There are 7 forts, but you can only build one of each shop type in a fort.

Some medals aren't awarded if you have been playing on normal or casual difficulty before you get there. Also sometimes there is a delay in awarding medals, but usually not for that type. Welcome to Spiderweb Software. Please leave you sanity at the door. Confusion to the players is common.
