Thanks -- I can't believe I missed it. Sigh.

My sorcerer has an intelligence of 17. Me, not so much

After cleaning out the kyshakks, my sorcerer went to explore the back building. The two controllers in the first room been flipped/deactivated, but pylons block the path to the doors to the west in both the main room and the longer, more narrow one to the south.

Feeling like a dip, but what'm I missing?

Speaking of the drake, do I get myself in hot water by killing drakey (no relation) before getting permission from the mayor, getting some sidequest assigned, etc.?

Personally, I find that objects' unmovality does not achive game quality improvement. But this kind of things could be a matter of opinion...

But there's no reason to be surly about it!

Once I snuck my way into town (see the above post re: Fort Samuels), I too was paralyzed by fear of the town Shade. Which gave me a glimmer of understanding for what the Almarians were going through! But if you stick to the northern walls, you can slide your way around the Shade, find another set of stairs down, and follow them to freedom beyond the town walls.
