  1. Repetitive dazing is by far the best way to go. You don't get damaged at all. And it's not really cheating. It's...uhhh.....clever tactics.
  2. You click on the "my profile" button on the top of the screen. If, you're not going to donate anything, I would suggest just giving it away to the first person, so as not to make people complain.
  3. You could donate it as a prize for the next scenario contest. If you start a topic in General offering a free copy of A4 people will probably either; A- suspect you of scammery, or B-start a flame war. That's why it's not legal to throw billions of dollars into the streets of New York . I think that donating the $100 as a prize for the next scenario contest would do the most good possible for the communtiy. Even just a fraction of that would help encourage people to submit scenarios, and that is what BOE and BOA need the most. Just throwing out ideas here
  4. You would probably start by buying the game on CD, then mailing it. You might get Jeff to email a code to someone, but I'm not sure. People in the A4 forum likely have A4 already, though, so I would start a topic in General or something. How are you deciding who's going to get it?
  5. You had to go through about 50 efreets to get it, and it led to an outdoor section that looked like a big devil face. I don't recall any fights, however.
  6. Update: Lankan has been augmented, and Diawatha is seriously annoyed. Stupid Shaper (He's KILLING THE ROGUES! Your ENEMIES! HELLO!). Still with my original weaponless, creationless Guardian. I made a Thahd to serve as meat shield once, but he didn't actually block anything. Having godly Leadership is glorious fun. I abused poor Norell to no end . So, is this mission physically possible, or no? Dominate isn't likely.
  7. Drawback: It's hard to get experience this way. I need 1 more level to get enough points in Leadership to talk the Creator to death, but I don't think I can get enough from the two quests I have left. Is there any renewable way to get experience wthout killing?
  8. In my arrogance, I decided to see if it was possible to play G3 without killing anything. That is, without anything you control killing any foe. As a guardian. I know I'm doomed, but putting that aside, is it physically possible? I'm good so far except for the punching of two worms at the ruined school. Is there any area that you have to cross that requires killing something?
  9. Quote: Originally written by Pokemon: TM's - Echoes: Assualt, scenario is an excellent pick. I enjoyed it from begining to end, a worthy scenario to any BoE player! Did you understand what was going on, then? If you did, please explain it to me. Please. Don't get me wrong, the combat was very fun. But I barely could grasp the "finishing" ending, let alone the "winning" ending with someone who is my enemy but also Katothen being the same as someone who killed a guy talking about a guy spouting bilbical references, who then summoned something to kill me that didn't actually exist. I was then told about this by a person that also doesn't exist, who is looking for "The Evidence" and is an enemy of Karl Gottfried, who said he was going to explain everything but just mumbled vaguely and ended the scenario.(/rant)
  10. It was the "coolest thing about A4" topic that put you over the edge, wasn't it?
  11. If you mean the Grindstone mine and the quest Jen gives you: 1. Get a piercing crystal. These can be found in various places, but I believe Jen herself sells one. 2. Go to the Tower Colony, do the demon quest, get Dispel Barrier. You probably aren't at this point yet, though. EDIT: Use grammar. It good.
  12. So that's what it is. Stupid Wu. I think Bandits 2 would really be improved by a simple "rejoin party" option in the NPC special items. The first Deacon fight would be cake if you didn't have to worry about your NPC's dying (or roasting you). Then again, you don't want it do be cake, do you?
  13. This is real weird. In Birmington Fortress, just past the runes that prevent you from going back, there's a huge battle with Rakshasa and other Empire soldiers. The weird thing was that, about three-quarters of the way through the battle, the two Rouge Rakshasa on the right somehow acquired some ungodly amount of health (3295) when they previously had 155. This prevented me from finishing the fight. Any idea what's going on? Also, I don't think I understand the plotline. In Corporeus, Karl Gottfried says "the enemy has been waging war on us from Sanctuary. (Katothen's place)" Wasazore implied that his boss was Karl Gottfried. However, he also said that he knows I'm working for Katothen. Wouldn't he, I, and the entire Turkish Division be enemies, then? Or am I wrong?
  14. Sounds awesome! I've always been slightly annoyed at the later Geneforges because there was supposed to be a major war going on, but you hardly ever fought the opposing side, at least in the beginning. A2, however, captured the idea that there was a war very well, which is why I liked A2. I want to see stuff like two opposing forts: one Loyalist, one Rebel. The captains of each of the forts give missions to take out the other fort. Perhaps some towns could fall to the opposing side if the party takes too much time, like in A3, or does a mission for the opposite side. P.S: Out this year? Wow, Jeff is fast.
  15. It's entirely possible that I'm just dumb, but still no secret passages. I went to the very end, then turned around and repeatedly headbanged every section of mountain in the place. Is the secret passage on a "high mountains" graphic or a regular one? (Why'd Brett have to password THIS scenario, but not DoTS? Why?)
  16. Okay, I'm in the lich's tower, in the Mountains of Faith section. I searched every square for a secret passage, and I'm losing essence fast. I still don't have the "necessary magic" to go into the other sections. What do I do? Also, where can I recharge essence?
  17. You're Creator? And now I feel stupid... I've killed Burr-Denn's cronies and am currently hiding behind a rocky outcropping sniping at him. I had to use the Character Editor to un-dumfound me and restore my health and sp, but I'm going for only that once. Mindblast makes life difficult, but I'll get him soon. I hope the rest of the fights are easier... I also unvocered another bug: Once, Burr-Denn's shield moved off him, which was vaguely odd. I don't recall any strange circumstances; are both of them set to "not move" in the editor? And the Skree is charmable... if you're a god. Lvl 36. However, if it WAS charmable it would be stupid, because of the death touch. Thanks for your help!
  18. As long as the door is closed, you can murder without them getting angry at you. Best part of A4, IMO .
  19. Rocks are level 35. Nothing doing. The best strategy I currently have is to put my fighter next to him, my casters in the back, and attack like mad. I can web Bur-Denn down to 1 spell a turn, but I only have so many spell points. Double-cursed rocks usually can't hit my blessed fighters. The strategy usualy falls apart if I can't kill the Skree in time or when Burr-Denn casts an area spell. With Mindblast, I have to use Light Heal All each turn. Is there some secret to beating powerful spellcasters without antimagic? I beat Kassand only by dumbfounding him to death, but that doesn't work here. Creator said he didn't have antimagic against Selene in Falling Stars, so there must be a way. Any help? P.S: It's more laziness than bravery. I had to reinstall BOE a while ago and couldn't be bothered to get the HLPM, so I took my party from Spears .
  20. The Nightmare Guardian in Revenge is level 80. I don't know how Creator did this, but on my copy being level 80 is the same as being level 0. The Guardian, despite magical resistance, blacks out at the slightest sign of a sleep cloud and is easily charmed or paralyzed. This kind of ruins the effect of the fights and chase scenes with him. I found this out because I'm trying to get through it with a level 5 party that has no extra spells. I'm currently stuck on the Burr-Denn fight where he has the shield, though. Very cool scenario, by the way.
  21. Okay, I got the coordinates and teleported in. I have no real clue as to where I'm supposed to go, so I wandered around and got killed a lot of times. I can just barely kill a Capacitator if I surround him and none of my fighters die, but two at onece is not possible. I've read the hint file, but it was a bit vague: All I know is I'm supposed to destroy a crystal at 27,12. Can someone provide me with a map, or maybe hints to get past the monsters? Thanks.
  22. If no one else has any suggestions, I guess I'll start work. Thanks for the help guys!
  23. The eyebeast is inside the prisons in Cotra. Talk to the mayor. The secret passage is in the most northwest corner of the cavern where the sliths are. Walk up to the trees and just coninue from there.
  24. What the player sees are the characters in the actual fort, yes. Charming uses the subject's mind to make convincing illusions. Still, it's a lousy way to meet someone. Question, Drakey: When did you start working on RiB? Or do I not want to know...
  25. Uh, Kel? The first few scenes aren't in the fort; They're in the gremlin grove that is perceived as a fort. Stareye: It like those ideas. Rescue seems much better than revenge. I'm trying not to fall into the trap of telling the party what they feel, rather than them feeling it. I like the "awaking" idea too. First mission: I like inside the fort, and I like killing a "gremlin" infiltrator. I'll go with that, I think, but I'm still open to suggestions.
