  1. Do not mock the Uni-Drakon! It is a creation so powerful that only throwing it into the bubbling cesspool that is the Geneforge will destroy it. And anyone who does that shall attract the wrath of the Uni-Drakon's older sibling, the Ur-Noob! Dikiyoba.
  2. There's also an edit button to fix your mistakes. Double posting is generally frowned upon. No harm done, though. Dikiyoba.
  3. The fact that this is the weekend and not a business day probably has something to do with the delay. In the meantime, run a singleton through the demo on torment mode or something similar to keep you occupied. Dikiyoba.
  4. Dikiyoba thinks that Dragonlady is talking about the friendly nephil camp between the Fort Monastery bridge and the Fort Draco-Fort Monastery checkpoint.
  5. No, the Sholai don't appear in G2 at all. (Edit: They are mentioned by name in dialogue twice, but that's it.) For G2's setting and plot, that was acceptable. However, the one Sholai thrown into G3 didn't seem as acceptable. (I haven't actually played past the demo of G3, but I did read through all the scripts.) Dikiyoba wouldn't mind being a Sholai rather than a Shaper in G4.
  6. Dikiyoba gets a "What should this sign say?" window but no crash on the old editor for this Code: begindefinefloor 194;import = 0; //Cave floor but nothing unusual for this Code: begindefinefloor 200;import = 0; //Cave floor
  7. I would guess that floors types 194 and 195 are custom floors. Perhaps there's something incorrect in the floor's script that is causing the error. Dikiyoba.

Just look in the header of this forum. Originally written by radix malorum est cupiditas: Quote: 2) One already exists. Dikiyoba knows that more than one exist. Use the search function in the Avernum 4 forum to find them. Edit: Fixed quote.
  9. Dikiyoba believes that the answer to question number three is about 200. After that, items are deleted. Edit: Clarification.
  10. There isn't an Ice Lances spell in Avernum 4. There's Icy Rain but not Ice Lances. Dikiyoba. Edit: Typo.
  11. There's a quote button. Use it. If you want the whole post to be quoted, click on the quotation marks above the post you want quoted. If you only want part of a post, copy the text you want and hit the QUOTE button on the Post A Reply screen and paste the text in the space between the quote tags.
  12. Dikiyoba voted for divine retribution. Or RETRIBUTION!!!, if you prefer to spell it like that. Dikiyoba rather likes divine fire as well. Edit: In all fairness, though, I was voting uninformed, since my party is still running around in the demo. At least they're making good use of their repel spirit in the mine. Can I get a ridiculously high level repel spirit wand instead?
  13. Originally by Sharpie: Quote: The range eventually became intuitive and didn't really bother me after that. Agreed. Dikiyoba grumped about it earlier, but Dikiyoba got used to it eventually. Dikiyoba hasn't overstepped the boundrary for about two weeks. (Of course, that's only about two hours worth of playing time.)
  14. Originally by the Almighty Do-er of Stuff: Quote: Do small smelly boots taste differently than large ones? No, but if you have to check your ego at the door, you obviously have big boots. Edit: Never mind. Dikiyoba.
  15. Originally by Ephesos: Quote: Check your ego at the door, please. Do the fluffy turtles even take egos? Dikiyoba thought that the fluffy turtles rejected them on the basis that they taste like large, smelly boots.
  16. Originally by Umgook the Destroyer: Quote: Most of the time I'm "half-orcked"... Dikiyoba fixed your typo so that all may see the glory of the half-orcked human. Also, note the use of the quote tags.
  17. I actually recommend trying out each individually before ordering them. If you like them all, get the set. But if you only like one, then just get the one. There's quite a difference between A1 and A3 in terms of features. Dikiyoba, for instance, only liked Avernum 2 well enough to buy.
  18. Dikiyoba thinks that, based on previous experience, Nick Ringer reads previous posts before replying.
  19. You've given people less than 24 hours to reply to a topic that not many people will feel the urge to reply to. Dikiyoba still thinks that A4 is suffering from an editor/stat oversaturation. It's hard to get a strong response because of it.
  20. That means all chickens, cats, cows, dogs, sheep, dogs, and small lizards are incredibly boring. Oh, and children too. Dikiyoba recalls that townspeople attack on occasion. Remember the Easter Egg of A2?
  21. I like unlimited arrows because I use them so rarely that I don't think about it. I tend to only use them when spells fail. But I didn't have much against finite arrows either, since each character never carried around more than ten at a time. Dikiyoba.
  22. SDF-Stuff Done Flag. The flags control how events in the game work. They keep track of whether you are loyal or rebel, for instance. Dikiyoba.
  23. It's 200, at least in G1 and G2. I clear every item out of a zone. Then I put trash and other worthless items into 19 piles of 10 without a problem. That's 190 items. So Dikiyoba gets really close to the limit all the time. But Dikiyoba never actually reaches it. Edit: Typo.
  24. Yes. Put them anywhere where you will remember where they are and where you can come back to easily. (In G1 and G2, this is any cleared section. In G3, it would probably be the docks.) However, each section can only hold about two hundred items. Dikiyoba has never hit the 200 item limit. The game slows to a crawl if too many items are dropped all in one location. Thus, Dikiyoba keeps items in two or three sections. Dikiyoba is quite the packrat.

    theft

If no one sees you steal, then all is well. If you are seen stealing, the townspeople will notice. If you steal too much (and this varies from town to town), they will attack you. Obviously, it's bad if they attack you. Dikiyoba is so pleased to be without a standard signature again! Dikiyoba apologizes for the off-topicness, but this burst of happiness had to go somewhere. Edit: Sig change.
