All of the Geneforges, as well as A5 and A6. Possibly A4 or Avadon as well. Unfortunately, it's a Windows-only feature (which is silly, but what can you do?) Dikiyoba.

I think I only saw The Hobbit. It was worth watching once, but I wouldn't see it again. And the score was definitely a disappointment. *checks* Wait, Ice Age 4 went from theaters to airplane fodder is less than six months? Shows how little Dikiyoba knows.

Please don't tear Dikiyoba a new one.

Not to mention that spiders are our allies in the war against other spiders. Admittedly, Dikiyoba knows nothing about arachnid taxonomy, but that seems like a really limited way to distinguish species. Obviously, unique genitalia is a clear sign that a population of spiders are reproductively isolated from close relatives and thereby a separate species, but it seems like other morphological differences and major differences in behavior would also count as evidence that spiders are a distinct species and not just displaying variation within a species.

This. Dikiyoba.

Dinohippus is best pony! Well, it's actually not so much a discussion about tea so much as snobbishly proclaiming our superiority while sipping tea. Dikiyoba is trying to get a sprinkler system installed in every forum but the Mod Board so we can be warm and dry while being snobbishly superior during tea while the rest of you are stuck in the cold and wet, but so far no go.

We probably would (well, certain people anyway), but, you know, the boards have to stay family-friendly. Dikiyoba.

On the other hand, guns aren't necessary in order to successfully bring down a corrupt government, as this tweet succinctly demonstrates. Dikiyoba.

Huh. Dikiyoba remembers it being reasonably good (with the exception of the bit with the letters from the framing narrator's mother, which Dikiyoba just threw into the discontinuity bin).

(Psst, Nalyd. This is the pun thread, not the "what have you been reading" thread.) Dikiyoba.

MS, you should definitely play G4 as a shock trooper. The battle creations aren't as good, but not having to cast the cure spell five hundred times every time you and your creation horde faces poison- or acid-dealing foes makes up for that. Also, unnerfed Speed spells. Dikiyoba ignores even blessing magic beyond what is needed to get Speed. There are plenty of items that boost blessing magic, if you ever need to cast higher-level blessing spells.

Piers Anthony and Christopher Paolini? You know, there are much better fantasy series out there. You don't have to suffer like this! Dikiyoba always recommends the Discworld series. There are a couple of duds, but most of them are either pretty good or really good.

Dunno. Chestnut blight, Panama disease, Dutch Elm disease... there's a good reason money shouldn't grow on trees. Dikiyoba likes raw cookie dough, often better than the baked cookie itself. But while Dikiyoba has eaten it from a glass (cookie dough milkshakes), Dikiyoba has never seen it offered in bottles.
-
You shouldn't eat money. It could be dangerous for your health. If you're that desperate to get rid of your excess money, Dikiyoba will gladly take it.

Considering that "fruitcake" has some less-than-friendly meanings, we probably shouldn't go down that road. (Talking about the cake itself is perfectly acceptable.) Dikiyoba hasn't ever tried fruitcake, but tends not to like cakes flavored primarily with spices or liquor.

That allows you to unlike the posts you have already liked (which results in no change to a reputation score, since it simply removes the positive reputation point you gave previously). That's different from having the ability to dislike a post (which would give a negative reputation point). Dikiyoba.

Oh? How so? Dikiyoba.

But if it were Barred, it would be a lot harder for the rebels to get ahold of. First, they seem rare, plus not intelligent enough to know to escape and hide, so if they were Barred, there wouldn't be any left alive (and even if there were, how would the rebels catch them?) Second, the rebels are very bad at creating new controllable designs (and the living craft we see in G4 is definitely under control), plus they wouldn't have had the resources to spend on recreating the living craft at any time prior to that point. Also, there's nothing about living crafts aside from their drayk ancestry to suggest that they would be Barred. They don't seem particularly powerful nor intelligent (the biggest indications of rogue tendencies), and both of the crafts we see don't ever do anything to indicate that they have rogue tendencies. Therefore, it's simplest to assume they are not Barred. Dikiyoba.

The rule of thumb is (well, used to be), "Don't resurrect old topics unless you have something meaningful to add." --- Dikiyoba's personal interpretation (headcanon?) is for the G5 PC to be Shaila, since Dikiyoba played through G5 as a shock trooper. It spared Dikiyoba the unresolved mystery and the hassle of coming up with a good name for the PC. (Edit: Removed italics)

Niiiiiiiiii-ki. When Dikiyoba likes and then quickly unlikes that like, the reputation reverts back to the original count. Maybe it only does that for a short time after the original like, though?
-
There are some people you can recruit, but they are all temporary, so use them in addition to your few strong creations, not as a replacement for them. Dikiyoba.

We don't know when exactly drayks were barred. Sometime in the 200 years after Sucia Island was abandoned but before the present day of G1. Despite this, a living craft appears in present day G1 and again (looking very reptilian, if not drayk-like) in G4. So the living crafts must have been developed from drayks sometime before the ban, and then were either controllable enough or too useful to get rid of and were so kept unbarred. Either that, or they were developed from some other reptile but resembled drayks enough that people just assumed they were created from drayk stock. Roamers are definitely part dog. The graphics may not be particularly dog-like, but roamers are compared to dogs several times throughout the series, including roamers behaving like guard dogs would in the Spiral Pit in G1. So some sort of dog/reptile combo. Dikiyoba doesn't remember anything about servant minds, but assumed from the graphics that they were mammalian.

In G4 and G5, an enemy will usually attack whoever attacked it last. That predictability makes it fairly easy to protect weaker creations. Dikiyoba almost always names creations. Favorite names are: Frostbite and Blizzard for cryoas/cryodrayks, Wildfire and Firestorm for drayks/drakons, Nutricious and other -icious words for vlish, and Wingnut and Wingding for wingbolts.

Sylae would be the only one with a positive reputation, and everyone else would be between 0 and -589. Also, the only option for adding a dislike feature makes likes and dislikes anonymous, so we wouldn't be able to have statistics on it at all. Dikiyoba has grown rather fond of the current like system. It's silly and pointless, and that's the true spirit of these boards.

You keep seeing with what? Your ears? Your nose? Regardless, seeing with something other than your eyes is both impressive and very wrong. Dikiyoba needs to be genuinely witty or interesting with this gimmick more often. Posting should be an art, not a contest.
