Graphics do not bother me much. Heck, I play certain games still with ACSII graphics(you know what game that is kiddies).
I mainly focus on gameplay, plot, background stories, etc.
Mmm, would be nice if Jeff keeps the original A1/E1 masisve skill system in the Avernum remake.
Also, in a way its sad the current game engine doesnt support outdoors mode from the first 3 Avernums.
I agree totally with you Randomizer. I really miss the whole huge open world explore thing from Avernum 1-3/Exile 1-3. Even From Geneforge in a way, because there you could find new places as you explored.
(Hopefully I phrased it right.)
It was probably pretty short compared to the other SW games. Mostly due to time restrictions, money, entirely new game and world.
So I think Avadon 2 may be much larger. Since Jeff probably now knows exactly what he wants to to do and how things will transpire. Though it is still a great game.
I am trying to be a Loyalist to Redbeard, but also want to see Justice done. Now....I can't decide whether I should attack the Honored Forge Camp...or not. It is rather a tough choice to make...
Anyhow, I guess Avernum, Geneforge and Avadon all has its own versions of freedom.
In Avernum it was a wide world of freedom where you directly walk into the next area and explore.
In Geneforge it was automatically unlocking a new area when you exit a zone.
In Avadon it just feels like the decisions you make has a bigger impact and all that.
Ehhh, just a small comment. I wouldn't mind if Spiderweb games in the future comes with a button named :"Load Latest".
Would make things a bit easier for me who saves in every save slot and save frequently.
Wonder why I said portal failed and Avernum went boom? Remember what happend to the messed up Empire Portal in A2 when you didn't use the onyx scepter?
Just noticed. Fort Duvno is also surrounded by a fairly large amount of water on the edges of two of the sides in A1 and A2, far in contrast with A4 and A6
Just for a plus. I just saw something interesting. On A6(I think its A6 or A4), one of the drawings showing part of avernum looks kinda small. On one of the pictures/drawings form A1, it shows that Avernum looks vast. Kinda vast.
