Maybe everyone in the world are midgets, making the continents seem smaller? or maybe they are Giants, and perceive miles differently from us and therefore the world is, in fact, huge?

lol, i can still remember when i was confused about that. then when i did find it, it took 3 days for me to find Solberg and X (X being the coolest: go the Anvil spell!). Pretty pathetic, huh?

Ok, thanks all. I managed to get the wheels (sorry about switches in first post) in the right order. Now i face another problem, which i shall try to overcome myself: Finding Khoths lair.

Hey, i started playing Avernum 1 a little while ago, and i am up to the Final Gauntlet dungeon. I have nearly finished it, but am having problems with the switches at the end. Which order do i press them in?
