Final help questions. In the destroyed mage city, there are rooms with what look like barriers. However, when I walk into them I am burned up, but don't go through. Dispel barrier and piercing crystal don't work. Any help? Do I need to get anything in them to finish the game? Just met the ghost, going left, should be exciting...

BTW, I know how to get into the jail itself, ask the jailer for William's name, my question is about getting into actual cells, is that necessary to find the escape route? I am pretty sure I pushed against the limited wall space in the jail area, and couldn't find any hidden door.

Thanks for the Gumby hint, and William Dawson. I thought I had done some serious searching in the jail for an escape wall, but do I have to go into one of the cells. If so, how can I get in there? Any hints? And when I talk to William will that begin to lead me to the "presence" and point of the game?

I admit it, I must really stink at these games. I need some help. Did all the tests for mage, priest, thief and alchemist. Have mission to find Gumby Island, and figure out what the heck is going on? Kind of running in circles. Also, haven't found William Dawson yet. Can't get into jail cell to use wall escape. Any help on these two, or if I am missing something else?

Enjoying AC1, have done mage and priest quests, finishing quests for thieves. Problem is I can't find the ember flowers for the 1st quest of alchemy. Anyone have some clues or help?
