  1. This is from an email from a person named Namie I received. It's pretty amazing when people are still finding strange and new things for a 6+ year old game. Quote: It's about the Golden Goblet and the mysterious water sprite who lets you wait and splashes with some acid if you're with Romans. At the Celtic Shrine. Actually this part was great and I loved it, because she (or he) gives you a couple of Strength skills, besides it doesn't matter if you're playing with either side. After you get the Golden Goblet from the altar or what- ever at the center of the Temple, bring it straight to the dock where the water sprite is and wait. If you're with the Celts, she will aid you giving Strength (I don't remember but probably 2 each) with warm hospitality, and if you're with the Romans, she still aids you giving just the same amount of Strength skills without knowing you're Roman, and she regrets it afterwards, but that's all.
  2. Send your registration info to Jeff- he'll send you your codes again.
  3. Try here. You will need to get to the last golem circle via the golem factory. There should be guidelines somewhere or another.
  4. You can only buy from spiderweb software online. No one has reported having any problems using either credit card or check when purchasing items from them.
  5. I don't think it's there, actually. There's a special encounter far to the south that might yield a feather, especially one that has never touched the ground. Check the FAQ to be certain.
  6. Continue searching for a boss- there's a fomorian on the second level who is guarding what you're looking for. This info was taken from Schrodinger and Zeviz's site.
  7. Something may be interfering with your playing. Close all extra programs, and use msconfig to make sure nothing else is acting up.
  8. No, I think that request is against the forum's rules. Since Nethergate is fairly small, it's easy to copy onto one's HD and sell of the CD. Legally, you can't do this with Diablo 2. I'd suggest saving up $$ and attempting to get the Nethergate discount along with another game.
  9. Just north and south of Galag-Trav. Look around there.
  10. There are no annotated maps for this game, so I just recommend bumping into every single wall you can, and look around a bunch. Others have had problems getting the +1 to faerie lore, see the recent topic.
  11. 1. I think the restoring elixir should be under the celt fortress, or in Vanarium from Titus. I can't say for certain as it's been a long time since I last played. 2. Not even Jeff knows any more. Someone asked him and he didn't remember...
  12. Do you have the most current version? There is a patch out, and it may not hurt to give it a try. The only other thing I can think of is that you may have a conflict with another program. Make sure not to run many other programs in the background, and check for spyware. Anyways, your computer should be more than able to handle this game. I'm not sure what's up.
  13. This is a fairly common problem, and it's happened to me many times. What happens is in your saved games folder, some of your saved games lose their extension .sav. Go find them in your saved game folder and add this extension manually. This should "restore" your saved game to what it was previously.
  14. What operating system and platform? Try downloading the installers from a different site, the downloads may not have been complete. Alternatively, something may be preventing you from complete installation. Try closing down most every other program and see if that helps.
  15. Quote: Originally written by Gordon: BTW, I haven't been able to figure out what the button on the stand in the closet at the top of the stairs to the lower level is supposed to do. Any idea? Gordon Most of those buttons open nearby portculli. OTher than that, I don't htink they do much. Sorry I can't help much with the getting past the barrier- the only other suggestion I can give you is to scour the level, maybe you'll find something somewhere.
  16. Hm, maybe increase your luck or lore skills. Alternatively, you may want to cheat by using the fight-end bug. It's been too long since I played to give you adequate assistance.
  17. Been way too long since I last played Nethergate. Regardless, you should be able to enter provided you're playing as the Romans. You may need to get to the main area of the game first, though. Perhaps pick up a 5th player?
  18. Well, just try to reiinstall the game then. That may be all it needs.
  19. It would probably be best to try to download again and reinstall. Some sort of file may have been corrupted. It happens.
  20. Someone asked Jeff if he knew why he put that in years ago, and he said, no, that he had forgotten. Thus, if you ever find out, you'll be the first one to know!
  21. A bit of help: http://www.sysinfo.org/startupinfo.php http://netsquirrel.com/msconfig/
  22. Ad-aware won't help you with that. You've got a nice little program someone installed on your computer that's really messing with you. Try running msconfig. Do so by clicking on start, then run, and type "msconfig." You should see a list of programs, one of them is probably the culprit. In addition, others have had this problem, and I'd suggest looking at the topic here
