Chief Spider watching The Simpsons replied to Randomizer's topic in Second Avernum Trilogy
Is it all just for higher damage and more action points? -
Avernum 5, June Update
Chief Spider watching The Simpsons replied to Spidweb's topic in Second Avernum Trilogy
I just hope it won't be as hard to open a chest you're standing in front of as it was in A4 -
Erika not helping.. (E3)
Chief Spider watching The Simpsons replied to Bunni K's topic in The Exile Trilogy
This might sound stupid but... did you have Erika activate the amulets after you got them? -
First Impressions
Chief Spider watching The Simpsons replied to NowAndAgain's topic in Second Avernum Trilogy
Why don't we (who dislike the PC graphics) just copy over the character graphic pictures with old ones or edit them to our liking? I did that in E3 so I could play with a "Dervish" graphic. -
A4 - The New Geneforge?
Chief Spider watching The Simpsons replied to Venom's topic in Second Avernum Trilogy
I just hope it doesn't go too much like Geneforge. I've already seen the screenshots and the characters/monsters seem so bulky and just... retarded. I played the Geneforge demo a couple of times, and I HATED it. That's my two cents. -
Yes, there is. You have to go back in the Test of Mind after completing all the tests, look at the portcullis, and you get an Alien Blade on the special.

Resting Cell 4 - Control Room
Chief Spider watching The Simpsons replied to Sephiroth1985's topic in The Exile Trilogy
You don't. You get poisoned no matter what (it's not your job). The only mission to do there is kill the Ice Hydra. -

I can sort of sympathize with the Gale point. Although I like some of the fine touches in that city, like when you beat the Mind Crystal and Rali says (above his head): "I defeated the Golems!" (The commander says something similar) And how there's skirbbane herb in the official town treasury, And real confessionals in the church, And how so many of the prices from the addicts are "utterly ridiculous" to pay for their drugs, And "oppuzit korner" on the outside (opposite corner of Pasi) Sorry for going off on a tangent, but I feel I needed to say those things.

How about the Cult of the Sacred Item? Remember: "To Corinda, accidentally teleported into solid rock. We apologize sincerely." -
Oh, come on, this is a different sort of poll on a different subject! I don't care; it'll be gone in half a week anyway. And for my contribution: The Black Halberd dominates all. It's tempting to say that most single-handed weapons are mightier because they let you hide behind a shield, but it's not much of a drawback at all, also considering that most of the decent bladed weapons (I like the Mithril Blade and Haakai Blade) require both hands anyway.
