At least you fixed the link on the Spidweb main page. For a while there, you had to redirect twice to get here. In any case, the old forums are still the top result on Google (at least from my IP).

I'm tentatively scheduling the next session for 4pm MDT today, in the Calamity Refuge roleplay channel. If you'd like to build a character, you can meet me on there a little earlier, or just sit in and watch. Edit: I intended to see "Cloud Atlas" at noon, but the showing was cancelled. It is possible that I will attempt to attend the 3:00, in which case RotS will have to wait until 6ish, provided the members are available.

I think most people were classified by where they fit best in each era. I remember you on Shadow Vale, but you were more heavily associated with Polaris. Would you rather be a shiftless member-at-large or, worse, a "quiet long presence" like myself? -
Even Harehunter doesn't like your pun. It might be time to sit down and think about where you're headed, verbally.

It's generally a good idea to only change your title or your avatar, not both at once, if you want to be recognized, Trenton. Nikki gets away with it 'cause we usually know he's doing a theme.

Iffy ended up filling in, and if I had my way he'd make a character of his own and join permanently. Same for you, Miramoor. I'm always willing to suspend disbelief and insert characters in for the second session. After that it starts to interrupt the flow. At the moment, we have a couple of low-brow Earthlings for hire, plus a genetically engineered chap and a druid as the token healer. We could use some more cliché. A bard, or a knight, or a pirate. I considered playing a werewolf, myself.

If you're going to summon old members, you might as well go all the way: -
Yes, but yours only focused on one instance of fatal hilarity, while the joke in the Monty Python sketch is universal in its effect, thus more successfully undermining my assertion that humor is subjective.
-
... Point granted. Actually, double point, 'cause there's at least one Monty Python sketch for every taste of humour.
-
It's almost like I've seen that somewhere before...
-
Humor is far more subjective than that. I'm not sure there's anything that actually has a 99.99% chance of producing laughter, except perhaps an electric shock to the proper portion of the brain.
-
I'm going to resist the urge to bite on the obvious response to this. I take it you eventually realized that there was an important root in the prefix?
-
So what you're saying is... you don't vote for kings? (And actually, I'm under the impression Jordan is doing something very like elections despite being a monarchy. And England is... well, England.)
-
Alternatively, give us the ability to actually change our username. Then, when you set the script, it can pick up on that, instead.

I think you will fund that Lillith is far from alone here in challenging an established identity, Saunders. It's a learning curve for those of us used to the status quo, but I like to think we're broadening our horizons, and that will benefit us and society in the long run. -
A sniper rifle might be harder to use from a rocking chair. You might want to fix something up for him in the belfry of the barn.

The name I registered under is not Actaeon. I imagine I am not alone in preferring my current, relatively permanent PDN. There are also those who may have used their real name for their original account and thought better of it. I know mods can see usernames, but there's security keeping the rest of us from that.

She's not arguing about smart or attractive though. -
In the spirit of stating the good things as well as the issues, I'd like to highlight the nice feature that lets you see PDN history, in case you're unclear on who a member (*cough*AloraelNikkiNalyd*cough*) actually is.

Lillith is part of the establishment now. She can do whatever she wants. Was that not true when you were here? Or perhaps the PDN name confused her identity? -

I'm sorry to tell you that Spidweb dropped RWG, got rid of Misc, and that everyone you mentioned is either gone or pretty much a lurker. Welcome back though! Take a tour around and see if things intrigue your college age self the way they did at ten. -

I think CalRef is having a meet up sometime in 2013, and my understanding is that it's open to other Spiderwebbers, too. -

We know this because the two were active at the same time. When ET wasn't leading the charge against the mods, he wasn't nearly as abrasive as TM could be even in his modly capacity. Oddly enough, neither of them ever really got to me. It was Alec that undermined my self esteem. ... Which just caused me to remember a dream last night where I got banned by Scorpius because I used Alec's name on the board and Bain Ihrno didn't like it. I... don't even know what my brain is doing sometimes. -

I have a vague recollection of the name. I don't really anticipate running into a Spiderwebber by accident either, except perhaps Neb or Iffy.
