Good evening. We apologize for the previous apology. This apology was unnecessary and appeared on the record owing to an administrative error.

It has bubbles!

Our third session is currently (tentatively) scheduled for 16:00 MDT tomorrow. Anyone who would like to join can still send me a rough character outline between now and then.

That awkward moment when you feel like a total Idiot.
I wouldn't say that this particular instance was severe enough to stand out against the background idiocy of my daily existence.
And I suppose "shortly" is a relative term. Six months? A year? How long did A:EftP take?

People can get quite upset at you for not drinking, I've found. It helps that I don't tend to enjoy the scenes, anyway, but I would imagine having something fake would be a good way at sneaking under the radar. Or, for those trying to recover while fooling their habits.

I was referring to the title of the post, and the subsequent realization that it wasn't an announcement of progress by Spidweb (a vain hope), but just an inquiry by another member.
I am a huge fan of A:EftP's engine. I'd love to see a remake of Geneforge 1 using it.

In fact, maybe just skip it. Isam's version should cover all the major points. I recommend a similar approach to "A Feast for Crows".

Well, I mean... Aloe. It doesn't really do anything for your hair, does it?

You raised my hopes and dashed them quite expertly. But yes, A:CS should be released shortly after Avadon 2. It will, I imagine, be more similar to A:EftP than to the second trilogy.

Are you really going to make post the pun police comic in every thread?
Better idea: make a special mod position for an ACTUAL pun police. They'll have no sense of humor and will go around editing strike throughs into all bad puns. You'll still be able to read it if you're feeling resilient, but otherwise you can skim right past them.

—Alorael, who recommends switching to mangos. They've got a much longer shelf life and are more portable to boot.
I'll accept the premise that they're more portable, but I've yet to see a mango with a longer shelf life than the average melon.
-
also this is a really good idea that caught on and everyone uses⸮
I have used a snark on these boards on several occasions, actually. Not that anyone noticed.

Alorael is the rock on which we build our community.

I generally assert that there are, in fact, only two Indiana Jones films, but you'd be surprised how much support Temple of Doom has.
-
I'm with Nalyd on this one*. There's three** Star Wars films and three*** Indiana Jones films. Rumors of other movies are just propaganda.
* This is never, under any circumstances, to be quoted out of context.
** Four, with the Christmas Special.

Dikiyoba, allowing a brain slug to infect you does not count as adjusting your implants.

We've done Spiderweb events for a number of primarily American holidays. I don't really see the problem with it, unless non-Americans feel that we're not willing to participate in their holidays. Do I need to start a Diwali thread?

This may not be something you want to make light of, Trenton.

I have purchased games and never finished them (Avadon, Nethergate: Ressurection), but I make a point of at least trying each one. I should probably make a point of playing the demo, but I tend to jump the gun with Spidweb. I will probably finish both, someday.
I have a similar attitude toward books, although I have several orders of magnitude more books than games, and it takes me a while to get to them all.

What, mods aren't members now?
If I go to my profile, it lists me as "member", as opposed to mod. IPB seems, thus, to take the two as separate categories.
Regardless, the mods have more to play with in terms of internet costuming, so the distinction is warranted.

On the Internet, I'd say you have to worry about Google more than Disney.
Although, if it would keep Newcorp, Time Warner, or Viacom from getting their hands on it...

Distinguishing the Gulf from the ocean seems, to an inland chap like myself, a little bit tenuous. In any case, I don't think anyone claimed it was going to be worse than Katrina. The devastation in New Orleans had a lot to do with the fact that a large part of the city is below sea level (unlike your state, Trenton, which I understand tops out at more than three hundred feet above!).
It's simply a stronger storm than is usual for the Northeast, which is much less prepared, both practically and mentally, for something on this scale. And the overall population affected, due to both the size and the incredible density of the Atlantic Coast, is significant.
