    Forty-Nine Days

    This isn't a bump, it's a straight up Necro!
  2. I have friends in Chicago, Dantius. You cannot hide forever.
  3. FYT is satirical. Sylae was pointing out that A2 & A3 were by no means the original.
  4. There are many things I am in favor of keeping tangible and low-fi, but I couldn't care less about the sort of things that usually end up on copiers. I also roll my eyes every time someone takes fifteen minutes to send a fax they could have scanned and emailed in five. It's very strange to live in a world where information is power, but the average person refuses to accept. I'm among that group- there are about a dozen Spiderwebbers with access to my real name, hometown, phone number... all thanks to the magic of Facebook. Really, though, you'd think it would be cheaper to save it in RAM or build in a couple hundred megabytes of solid state memory for the big jobs. Then you could advertise as the data-safe alternative and probably get a leg up on your competitors. Unless, of course, they're harvesting all this info and beaming it back to headquarters for their eventual world takeover.
  5. I do not believe there is an substance so tasty that someone cannot legitimately not enjoy it.
  6. I was going to give you crap about my Sandy thread not being good enough, but then I read your post. Thanks for checking in and letting us know how things are on the ground. I don't know that there's anything I can do, but let me know. Good luck.
  7. Oh, come on, do we really need TWO threads about alcoholic beverages? ... Well, actually, it's better than the pundemic.
  8. All I'm saying is that they changed this thread, and now it sucks.
  9. This thread wins the topic drift award for the week.

But... that's not your real face. I mean, congratulations and all, but let's stick to the facts!
  11. New plan: we find out how much Jeff would want to design such a thing, then make a Kickstarter and raise enough pre-orders to justify it.
  12. Our third session is currently (tentatively) scheduled for 16:00 MDT tomorrow. Anyone who would like to join can still send me a rough character outline between now and then.
  13. I wouldn't say that this particular instance was severe enough to stand out against the background idiocy of my daily existence. And I suppose "shortly" is a relative term. Six months? A year? How long did A:EftP take?
  14. People can get quite upset at you for not drinking, I've found. It helps that I don't tend to enjoy the scenes, anyway, but I would imagine having something fake would be a good way at sneaking under the radar. Or, for those trying to recover while fooling their habits.
  15. I was referring to the title of the post, and the subsequent realization that it wasn't an announcement of progress by Spidweb (a vain hope), but just an inquiry by another member. I am a huge fan of A:EftP's engine. I'd love to see a remake of Geneforge 1 using it.
  16. In fact, maybe just skip it. Isam's version should cover all the major points. I recommend a similar approach to "A Feast for Crows".
  17. Well, I mean... Aloe. It doesn't really do anything for your hair, does it?
  18. You raised my hopes and dashed them quite expertly. But yes, A:CS should be released shortly after Avadon 2. It will, I imagine, be more similar to A:EftP than to the second trilogy.
  19. Better idea: make a special mod position for an ACTUAL pun police. They'll have no sense of humor and will go around editing strike throughs into all bad puns. You'll still be able to read it if you're feeling resilient, but otherwise you can skim right past them.
  20. I'll accept the premise that they're more portable, but I've yet to see a mango with a longer shelf life than the average melon.
  21. I have used a snark on these boards on several occasions, actually. Not that anyone noticed.
  22. Alorael is the rock on which we build our community.
  23. I generally assert that there are, in fact, only two Indiana Jones films, but you'd be surprised how much support Temple of Doom has.
