I don't think it would. The only way you can leave people behind is in combat mode, and you can't talk in combat mode. If you exit combat mode, the party is reunited.

Which game are you talking about? There is a cursed halbred in E3, is there not? Or is that the cursed greatsword in the slime cave?

I think its possible to drop via the editor, but I'm not 100%. There might be a couple of shops that do that, IIRC, but its been a while since I played it.

I always want value for my essence when shaping. Its no use otherwise. I also like having a manily melee creation paired with tag-alongs, like Alwan in GF3.

I downloaded GF3 about five minutes ago. Any tips I should know about for the game, without spoiling it?

Empire Devrish, Vahnati Warrior and Demon are always good for me. I also have caught a Mage, Apprentice Mage, Empire Archer, Champion, Blademaster and also a couple of Imps. I tried to get a Doomguard, but it won't work.
