  1. The best ending is pretty clearly the Obeyer or Awakened destroy-the-Geneforge one. It's the only one that doesn't involve shattering an empire, yeah? Just because Trajkov is lucid and doesn't betray you doesn't mean he's any less of a power-mad tyrant.
  2. Would love to be a part. Filled out the schedule, installed the thing, reading the rules preview. EDIT: I like this system!
  3. I've had this happen to me before. There are a few places in G1 where you can walk through walls. There's never anything interesting, though - they're just bugs.
  4. Those aren't his. They're from Geneforge 1.
  5. I've read everything Black Company. And yeah, the earlier stuff is better.
  6. EDIT: The normal picture of Nietzsche didn't look incensed enough
  7. For the unworthy among us that don't already own all of the games several times over.
  8. Would love to, but my current job has me waking up at about midnight.
  9. Bastion is a veeery special case. If you can do it as well as Bastion, great, but you probably can't do it as well as Bastion.
  10. I think we all just need to agree that lightsabers are the best weapon.
  11. This sort of design is really a consequence of the open-world nature of Avernum. Jeff uses challenging areas or enemies to tell you that maybe you should go and handle some other things before dealing with this. If you're having a hard time, go do something else and come back later. Now, it's fine to not like that, but if you're just trying to out-level all the enemies and not deal with the challenge, you could try using the character editors. Also, you're not supposed to try and fight the holograms in Dead Money. You sneak past them, find their emitters, or hack nearby terminals to turn them off, make them non-hostile, or make them go somewhere else. They're made of light, after all - what are you gonna do, shoot them? And you should totally go back and suffer through that part. I can only think of one area where they really get aggravating, and Dead Money is an absolutely fantastic bit of DLC. All of New Vegas' DLC are masterpieces. Except maybe Honest Hearts, but it's still at least good.
  12. Well, I'd be rather disappointed if a Guardian was at all gentle, and a Shaper would probably just be a wet noodle in bed - not very passionate. So if it's going to be any of them, it'd probably be an Agent.
  13. Dawn of the Sixth Era of the Age of the Painter Power Nalyd: 0 + 3 + 6 + 4 = 13 Tridash: 2 + 3 + 5 + 2 = 12 Diki: 3 + 3 + 2 + 3 = 11 Mosquito: 3 + 3 + 6 + 5 = 17 Ouroboros: 12 + 0 + 4 + 6 = 22
  14. I was worried this was going to be a farewell. We'd miss you on CR.
  15. Okay, guys. Sy is dropping out. Much sadface. However, if anyone's interested in taking her place, there's now room for another player. There might be room for more than that, too. Ouroboros and Tridash, you guys have until this time tomorrow before we're moving on without you.
  16. Yoohoo. . . Sy, Tri, and Ouroboros. . . You're due.
  17. Diki was responding to this part of your post when talking about rivers: Anyways, if all you're doing is making that a water source, then you don't really need to Purify the area to do it. Lakes and rivers and springs are things that happen naturally; Shape Land is fine. Purify and Corrupt are for making things nicer or more awful. If you want it to be a normal lake and not an awful one, one use of Purify would be necessary, since the area was corrupt to begin with, and if you're giving it special powers or something(even just making it a REALLY nice lake), you would use two. However, if you're just trying to make it a mostly normal water source for those rivers and lakes, all you need is Shape Land.
  18. Tier [turn 5] Summary Power Available: [13] Actions taken: Raise Mesas - [shape Landx2, 6 cost] Dry Land - [shape Climatex2, 4 cost] Carve Rivers - [shape Land, 3 cost] Power Remaining: 0 Running Bonus: +3 Actions Raise Mesas Tier creates mesas. This vast wasteland bores Tier. But there are already enough mountains. Something new is needed. Great mesas, to provide unmatched vantage over the endless flatness. Dry Land Tribe turns a wasteland into a desert. Still not enough. A different sort of wasteland, a brighter and harder one, to blind and erode and starve. Carve Rivers Tribe creates rivers. And, lastly, a network of rivers, to further feed the great one to the west and give some measure of respite and vibrance to the emptiness. VOTE TO ADVANCE: NO
  19. Yes. It's a normal use of Shape Land. However, since it's apparently bothering Sy, you might ask her to split the cost with you. And, again, you don't have to do it if you don't want.
  20. Ouroboros, I subtracted the cost of a Purify Area from your points. Giving things special powers like you did with the Tree of Life forest isn't free. Of special note: This is the last mandatory turn of the first Age. If you want to vote to advance to the next one, do so in your post. If three or more players vote to, then the age will advance.
  21. Dawn of the Fifth Era of the Age of the Painter Power Nalyd: 5 + 3 + 2 + 3 = 13 Tridash: 5 + 3 + 2 + 6 = 16 Diki: 1 + 3 + 2 + 3 = 9 Sy: 0 + 3 + 4 + 3 = 10 Mosquito: 3 + 3 + 4 + 4 = 14 Ouroboros: 8 + 0 + 1 + 5 = 14
