I'd much rather play RPG's like KOTOR or morrowind, but sometimes when i'm bored I usually play avernum alittle bit. I'd like the games to be more..uh, well i guess with geneforge's ongoing game, not where you move then the enemy moves style, but I dislike geneforge's graphics and gameplay. So a combination, I guess would be cool.

A totally different storyline, apart from every other avernum game. To make it nonboring.

Geneforge used to be my favorite out of the spiderweb games. Jeff's lost the concept. He thinks that making more of a hit game will be good. I don't concur.While some of you may like that idea, I'm finding Jeff's games getting boring.

Let's see, in over 10 years how many different game types have there been?

-Exile/Avernum (same plot)

One word : BORING

I believe the spellshards in A3 are the only real reference for vahnatai-made crystals. Nothing of the sort in a1 or a2. With the exception of crystals in vahnatai towns in a2.

Sometimes single letters. sometimes ------. Sometimes X4672 etc. for "soldier" names kinda like star wars with the clone army. Normal names...hey they suck!

There's also a special item editor by a guy named Zeviz a couple years back. I'm not sure where it is but Croikle's is much better.

The most obvious is the creation screen, where it says strong and weak. Guardians rely on strength. Invest in fighting skills, as well as default, such as strength and dexterity. Endurance is also helpful, but you won't need intelligence. Also general skills are good. If you are a guardian you won't really need shaping or magic skills. You should be stronger than all your creations, unlike a shaper.

I got croikles modified editor for editing stats and all. I like combining both of them. The other editor cancels out invulnerability, because you can become godlikeand all, but i like the unlimited essence part. I can create alot of super creations!

My guess is try reinstalling it and if that doesnt work try redownloading it. I have XP and it runs fine, so it definitely runs on your os.

In the beginning mine froze a lot. Now it's settled down. I think XP is okay.

I generally dont like doing that. Probably cus in the demo, the creatures cant be upgraded and you cant control them with 2 intelligence.

Uh, red bar is health. Blue bar is essence. Green bar is magic, which regenerates. The health bar probably was full cus ur char died from 1 blow. If it gets hit once and doesnt die, then it would go down a little.

First off, hes Brodus Blade. Second, hes in the eastern medab section, not medab. There, he's in the eastern section.

First off, you have 3 bars. A health bar, a "magic" bar, and an essence bar. Magic is the base for all spells. Essence is secondary. You may need some for spells. Essence is usually for creations. Magic is the green bar. You won't find any potions regenrating this because that bar regenerates at a pretty rapid rate.

Now for the essence part. The pods help you regenerate your essence. It probably only goes up a little because that can be your maximum amount. When you create creatures, the essence used for them goes away from your total amount. So say you made a Fyora worth 13 essence and your total essence was 53. Once you make the fyora, your total essence will be 40. You can't go more until your creation dies or you absorb it.

Also another unhelpful trait is the "creation evolving". When it gains a level, you have to spend essence to use up it's skill points, which I don't like.

Maybe your monitor is too small.

The only problem I have with larger games and better effects is the games take longer to come out. I'd say probably around march for mac, and windows june or july.

I admit, it is fun using the editor to be all powerful and godlike.

But its also fun to not use the editor for at least 1 game. It gives you a good feeling like you completed the game without using cheats. I think the game is fun either way though.

I kinda find it weird that i try and get every spell in the game, but I only use a handful of them. After all, conflargation isn't really useful. It's only good use is probably taking out hordes of low level creatures like goblins.

Hey loser, there is that experience factor where you kill more monsters you get more experience.

Not to bring up old topics back, but dude, your trainer is tyte! I'm liking the unlimited essence part alot, which is really cool. Good job!
