Wow, really? Feelin' like a putz now

So, I've collected all the Crystal Souls and installed them in their rightful home, and all the Vahnatai love me now. I figure, I should get some kind of Level 3 spell reward from the Oglai council (Arcane Summon and Divine Retribution according to this handy guide) However longingly I look through the window into the chamber with the tomes, I can't open the door, and there are no new conversation options with the Oglai council. Am I missing something? If I recall correctly, they unlocked the door for me when I finished the chapter...

Just bought A4, and have been playing it through, exploring every niche and cranny, leaving no stone unturned, no cave unexplored, and no quest uncompleted as is proper and right, yet I am stuck on the Quest "Grob's Tools" I have found his Axe, but am spending far too much time on a sidequest looking for the Saw. Frustration Abounds! Any Ideas? Any help would be greatly apreciated.

Just downloaded A4demo on my 2.33 Ghz, 512 Mb Ram PC. When I start it, I see the Spiderweb logo, and then, instead of going to the Avernum 4 Splash screen, A4 minimizes, and when I try to maximize it, it minimizes again! I do not think that this is meant to be happening. Any suggestions?

Several times I have heard reference (On these boards to the destruction of the tower of Magi. Although I have completed the game twice, I have not encountered this. Could someone please enlighten me to the story behind this?

Perhaps it would be more difficult to play in "Torment" difficulty.

In A1 I don't worry about food: that's what inn's are for. In A2 I collect Lizard Meat from the Hydras on the way down to Avit. In A3 I give my characters a treat by giving them Steak.

I left this cave for rather late in the game so . . . I will be swapping Nimble gloves (1-1+1)(Raises dexterity) for Phyrric Gauntlets (2-6+2) (???) It probably won't make any difference; with two mages with Lvl 3 Fireblast, my fighter just hangs around the back looking pretty.

I use a laptop Computer, which has NO number pad. Any suggestions? It's kinda hard to look for secret passages moving two at a time . . .

A little cave, southeast of silvar. Inside . . . Undead and Witches. One of the witches drops an item called "Phyrricc Gantlets" I think that by carrying these, every now and then I get diseased. But I am wary of taking them off, because: a) They give lots of defense. King Phyrrus of the Greeks was a General who won all his battles, but with grat loss. Can anyone give advice as to the properties of these gauntlets?

What does the Fountatin do? Apart from Draining Your Money.

I am Thinking of making a library. Spells for level 1 Partys ! Does this infringe upon Kelandons HLPM?
