By far my favorite spell is Cloud of Blades. The great equalizer. Also, with Repel Spirit this event is not that hard. Strategically placed they do great damage to all manner of mobs which are immune to magic attacks...

Rakasha die rather easily with CoB and a few well placed arrows.

However, I have yet to go back and clear out Erox.

Can some one tell me how to assign them to certain slots? My new one always seems to go to slot 4?

You get 4 slots but I always seem to "add" one to slot 4 and not replace one in slot 1,2, or 3?

Actually...

I killed the mobs out of order...The one Voth wants you to kill, I killed him before I got the quest from the King.

I still got access to the library from the Mayor...not having done the quest to go talk to King V or getting the quest from King V to kill that guy in his basement...

Anyone notice just north of the scared little dude... an island not on the map. Where you use stepping stones to get to it and then use a horn to bring the mobs? In a Cave inside a hill?

Supposedly you need to be Reknowned and "strong" to be able to read the tome? What does that take?

I believe if you pray at the altar with fake rings they fall away... if you really joined the anama I dont have a clue.

Called Balm of Life or similar name. I think it requires a high Potion making of 9 or 10.

You need 3 herbs(Healing, spiritiual & energetic, I think) to make it also and must have the recipie of course. Not sure if it is available in the demo though.

I misunderstood. I thought you MUST learn them at lvl 1 to start.

I never heard of Avernum till 3 so I didnt know about the earlier versions until I saw AV3.

I like the game kinda like the old AD&D games that had 6 players, but 4 characters is easier to play imho. 6 took too long to manage in combat.

I was wondering is there a Bank in AV3? or if you get the Manse Mansion can you leave stuff there?

Does stuff ever "evaporate" if you leave it on the ground in cities?

pardon my obvious question. But why the heck did you guys create a game with spells missing?

I just started playing the demo last week and after searching high and low discovered there is no Dispel Barrier 1 spell?

I also think I am correct in noticing there are several other spells that are unattainable for the same reason.

If you didnt want us to have it why give at least 2 opportunities to learn lvl2 and lvl3 versions of it but deny the lvl1 spell?

Why not just leave the spell out of AV3, instead of teasing us with the spell books we cant use? And leave us as you did with the crystals and scrolls???
