which Avernum are you in now... 1,2,or 3. If at A3 then if you at the very start give your mage 6 to mage spells, you can get it for free. If you dont want that then go to Shaydar & find the mage at the SE corner of the city. He will teach You level 1 & 2 of unlock doors for a price.

whew! I finally got through endgame. yet, there is a no. of quests that I have not gone through, & I wonder if some people can help me with unusual quests except for the 5 major quests & the golems, troglo, roach, slime, thralni, golddale quest(s), monastery of madness, chasm of screams, find zik,mundt & zang, defiled crypt, gremlin room, erox, calloc quests. please give me replies soon, I'm pretty desperate out here. Oh, I cleared off every quest in upper Avernum, so do'nt mention those.

however, there are some troubles while usage of this spell...i.e. you can't use capture soul to get zkal, or the high triad master (from the monastery of madness). However, my gorgon seems to work pretty well in crisis.

you dont really need to register to join anama. Just say yes to all the things they will preach around the isle of bigail & then go to the priest Ahonar in Shaydar, & presto! you are In. However joining Anama means good bye to Mage spells. So you can trick them. Keep back the mage(s) in fort emergence (there is a room that holds back characters) then go to bigail, join anama & return. Take your mage, & voila! you have a mage Anama member. Use that idea of hold back to acquire high level members of your team, like Falko at Krizsan & Hsska at upper av.

the 2 crystal souls at Ghikra (upper av. in A3) teaches Vahnatai lore at a high price (900 coins). That comes in handy when you try to learn Capture Soul level 3 & Simulacrum level 3.

you can always steal the anama treasure in A3. Its simple. Just join anama & go up to the 2nd floor of anama temple at Shaydar. Enjoy. You can also get to smuggle skribbane herbs from delis to pergies, & from Shaydar to Lorelei. Have fun!

my rakshasa works pretty well, so does the dark wyrm, drake lord, & my personal favouritesthat I always use at hard quests: dryads (you can get them while fighting for them near Tevrno & "accidentally" hitting 1 of them.

magi you can always try buying clothes from libras & sell them at squiggus, & sell savoury herbs at libras. thats a courier for you.

there is a large amount of skill required for this stuff, I suggest you go do the quests in the following order: 1. dryad's grove quest near libras, 2. sliths near golddale, 3. Ursagi cave 4. Spiral Crypt 5. Tomb of Vakhos, 6. Fading tower (careful!!) 7. chasm of screams 8. pachtar's mail,9. Erox 10. Defiled Crypt 11. Monastery of Madness(get tip from Foxfire) 12. Defiled Crypt, 13. Gremlin room at squiggus, 14. Tower of Zkal, 15. pit of the wyrm 16. Remote cave( black halbeard)

if u really are in great want of them you can always try searching for them in the quests that you do, & buy potions in masses. that'll keep down the need of too much greens. Try travelling more to acquire more stuff everyday
