  1. Man, this is getting me worried - a few years later, I'll have to get a new computer because I can't keep the old one forever. What will I do without BoE?
  2. The custom graphics are in your Blades Scenarios folder, right. If not, move them there. If so, I don't know what to tell you.
  3. I can't be the mod of everything.
  4. When can someone get on with sorting out the scenarios into their appropriate series at the top of this forum? I know that it isn't that important, but it looks strange to have some scenarios sorted, but others not. Examples are Echoes series, Stareye's scenarios, Kurnis series, etc.
  5. It works on version 2.0 on the mac - I don't know anything else. Also, it's only Exile II - nothing else.
  6. (Note: This only occurs on Mac, not windows) Has anyone noticed that in Exile II, you can cast Scry Monster on a monster, and then hit the arrow keys, you can actually change the monster type? For example, in combat, I can cast Scry Monster on a hydra, hit the arrow keys, and then change it into a goblin or official and easily defeat it. Anyone else noticed this?
  7. Well, it's not like I thought rationally in games when I was eleven. Now, ethics in games don't matter to me. But really, Ben will have to speak for his brother, not me.
  8. Maybe he thinks killing monsters are okay because they're evil, but the townspeople are innocent. Well, at least that's how I thought of it back when I was eleven.
  9. I didn't steal things because of ethics for a while when I first played the Exile games. I eventually realized this really was just a game. However, I found that most stuff that you can get away with stealing is generally garbage - almost everything in BoE is, and most items in E3 are, in my opinion. Haven't really seen most of E2's treasures. Sure, you can make some money, but I find stealing low-value items a waste of time - I find it easier to kill some monsters, and pick their treasure up. EDIT: Also, does something actually happen in E3 if everyone has pants and shirts. If so, I missed it.
  10. Round two is sent out, everyone who has tested round one should have round two, although Desert Plah will also be testing round two. Thanks to everyone who tested for testing. Everyone is doing a good job so far.
  11. I enjoyed Exile 3 a lot, but I think Blades of Exile is the best game ever!
  12. DP: You can participate in round 2 of beta testing, which won't be for a while.
  13. Reminding everyone that the beta's going out tomorrow. While you can test at your own discretion, I'd like to try and get everyone who wants to test to sign up before tomorrow evening. Note that I will have some questions for you to answer as well as a standard report. Thanks. EDIT: Betas are sent.
  14. Maybe I should have been a little more detailed and thorough in the choices. Oh well. That being said, I'll go with the middle. For the reasons everyone else stated.
  15. I was wondering something. This goes to all scenario designers, esp. senior designers. When you design a scenario, what do you find to be the hardest part of making it? I have six choices, with an explanation of why they all could be. The choices are... Planning it out - possibly because you have to start forming ideas from your own head, which can be hard. Starting it - because you know you have a long road, anything could go wrong, and you're kind of setting it up. Middle - because it's easy to run into designer's block, and you have to do the most work. Finishing it - easy to get excited and forget about it. Alpha testing - because it generally comes out very buggy, and you have to fix lots of bugs, and you can't play the scenario smoothly - it's almost like playing through a scenario released without bugs fixed. Beta testing - you have to accept loads of criticism with little or no things said in the scenario's favor, along with more stuff to fix. I'm only doing this to get a general idea on what most people find hard. You also may have a different reason than what's listed above.
  16. Why is the site blocked? Have you tried using another computer?
  17. No, it doesn't. Yours is the seventh, at which point highest and lowest are dropped. Needless to say, yours is the lowest.
  18. Sure, Jeff won't fix some bugs and all, but other than that, this game is simply the best. It's a great package that has something for everyone. If you liked any of the Exile games, don't even consider not buying it. There isn't a better way you can spend $30. Then check CSR and all to see what scenarios you want to play. Don't miss it. 10.0
  19. E3 and A4 have rating topics. We've got to keep going. I liked it about as much as E3 for some reason, and I liked it better than most BoA scenarios. I will give it the same rating as Exile III, 8.0
  20. Welcome back, Ash! Where've you been lately? Could I post stuff here considering that, really, this could be used for both BoE and BoA? (Sorry for trying to attack the topic earlier)
  21. I've added it to CSR, but I'm not sure if I have the name right. Could someone please check? Thanks. EDIT: N/M, fixed
  22. You can get it from Paulo in Pergies, which is to the west of Fort Emergence, and then he's in one of the rooms at the inn.
  23. I'd like to point out that Ash has been gone for a really long time. I sure hope he comes back, though. Also, am I the only one who cares about reviving BoE? Yes, I know this is the BoA forum, but it seems like that the rest of the community only cares about BoA these days. I wonder why this is so. Well, I'd better get back to my BoE scenario.
