The background is just something I made at grsites.com. I've tried close to 20 different ones but they never seem to be quite right. I might have to look elsewhere or go with a solid color. If anyone has any suggestions for a better background I'm listening. Didn't have a rubric... could maybe make one. @Matanbuchus Can you be more specific? Background aside, what makes it busy?

Nvm. My computer's being weird.

I musta been in denial that there wasn't gonna be a winner. Well... I guess then since I was the last to die, and I'm the one who keeps the memorial, I get to decide who the winner was. Though technically, I had already died to Saunders in round 3. Who resurrected me from that?

You guys are weird. Updated a few tweaks. Found out it matters what order you have your css definitions for links in. Link then visited then hover/focus and active... Whee, look at me; I almost know what I'm talking about for once.

Hmm... Good point. I'll have to shrink that division. I don't know how to get the scrollbar to size itself to the window yet.

I'm formally learning how to build webpages and software. Going for a BSIT-SE. (Bachelor of Science in Information Technology with a Concentration in Software Engineering). As part of my homework, they let me update an existing website. So this prototype utilizes a CSS (cascading style sheet) which makes it easier to change the look of my whole website by only changing one file. At least if every page is set up to respond to the CSS it does. The SWArchive link goes to a reworked page, but the rest of the links either don't exist yet or go to the original pages. You won't break anything by clicking on them. @Nikki The download is smaller than most scenarios. Y'all are just being difficult. I've spent a good two-three hours trying to find just the right background. I didn't think I'd found it either, but homework has a deadline. I'll keep looking. Edit: Looks like the contact button problem I had was also an issue with the link being visited. I'll have to work on that.

You guys are so much work... I uploaded it so there's no download. Still don't expect all the links to work and currently I've noticed the issue with visited links keeping the visited color on subsequent hovers. Not sure how to fix it yet... Might just have to change my background hover color to compensate. Then I have no idea why the Contact button doesn't work like the rest. It's set up exactly like all the rest unless I made a typo somewhere. Feedback plz. Prototype

The victorious side writes the history books and ET would surely consider himself the Deathmatch Champion whether he won it fair and square or not.

tl;dr 'cuz it's late and I'm tired. One of these days I'll stop procrastinating on my work. Meh, maybe tomorrow.

Tramp for the Lord by Corrie Ten Boom. Sequel to The Hiding Place about her time in the Nazi concentration camps for helping the Jews. The sequel is about her travels around the globe afterwards and how she experienced God in it. Odd thing is, when I first read The Hiding Place I somehow got it in my mind that she was a young girl while at the camp. Turns out she was in her 50's before she got there and traveled the world well into her 80's.

Or did y'all start another one while I was on hiatus?

...just for this. Makeover.zip (91.5kb) Sitemap Still a bit crude but a definite improvement. Not all the links are working yet as its just a prototype but its good enough for a beta test, yes? If you see anything that doesn't look good on your browser, take a screenshot and let me know. It'll be much appreciated. Next step is to learn JavaScript and fix those drop-down menus.

:necro: We seem to have forgotten this resolution thread: Resolve! Of last year's resolutions, I completed two: Be able to play viola again, and don't drop out of college. Can't say that I've met any other of my goals. The daily bible reading went to the wayside round march and as for intentionality... I intended to make this post on the first of January sooo I'm going to call that a fail. Haven't really made any new resolutions. I think if I can manage to stay in school another year that'll be good. On the upside, I'm finally getting into classes that have something to do with computers and computer languages. My individual assignments say I can create a new website or revise a pre-existing website for them... I can finally do something besides crank out a 6 page essay every week. Woot!

Alcritas Scenario Extras -- Used to be tons, anyone have them?
Balladeer replied to Redemption's topic in Blades of Exile
You know, there is a 'Contact Me' page on TrueSite for a reason. I try to make sure all of my stuff is working but sometimes I miss stuff. I assume something is broken in the SW Satellite Archive or leading to the SWArchive. If you point out which page needs fixing, it can be done. -

My RL name is and always will be Traci. Glenn and I have had enough e-mails back and forth to be on RL name basis. So yeah, I haven't updated TrueSite in 6 months but since no one has finished another BoE scenario it's still up to date. BoA on the other hand is missing a few of the newer ones. I don't see myself making any big upgrades any time soon but I can probably get those new BoA scenarios up... eventually. Ps. The Archive can be added to the SW Satellite Archive if people don't care about redundancy. If TrueSite goes down everything goes down. True, I never used The Archive because I already have all the scenarios on my hard drive but if The Archive format is desired, it can easily be added.

1. What is your name? Traci 2. How old are you? 31 I think, but I've stopped keeping track since 29. 3. Where do you live? Wisconsin 4. What is your favorite color? Purple. Plum to be exact. 5. How many phones do you own? Four that will get a dial tone from the home line. Hubby has a cell phone paid for by work so I don't know if that counts. 7. Wait, what happened to question six? It got lost in the process of bringing this thread back to life. 8. Someone has just loaned you a time machine that can take you to any location on the planet during any time period. Where/when do you go? Australia. March 6th, 1982. 7:21:43am 9. If you were forced to change your PDN to something completely unrelated to its current form and your original username, what would it be? Adrasha Vaux has been another favorite moniker of mine that I've never used here. 10. If you could transform at will into any living animal, what animal would it be? Mustang. I'd like the wind in my hair and my mane. 11. It's ninja sliths versus pirate nephilim. Who should win? Ninja sliths, hands down. They're quicker and stealthier from ninja training and stronger with a thicker hide for being slith. No contest. Those kitties are going down.

Casper is abducted by aliens and put into a stasis chamber. When he awakens not-even-god-knows-how-long later, he is in a Universe known as Ixion where these giant flying boats travel through the blackness of space from one point of light in the sky to another. With his diplomacy, he manages to get himself a job. With his wit, he manages to get promoted. With his skill with the knife, he manages to gain command over more than 100 empires. Now he sits back in a big plushy chair and commands his minions as he likes. He figures someone will come and try to off him eventually. And when they do, Casper will be waiting.

Aw, shucks. I'd be more likely to come back for you guys. Now look, you got me considering it again. Are you sure y'all don't want to start playing AE instead? Iffy is the GM of one of the top 20 guilds on Ixion.

Jewels traci dot hedlund at gmail dot com It doesn't work on my windows 7 but I have two other computers I can try it out on here. One Windows Vista and one Windows XP. You left it in the backseat of my minivan.

You've been playing AE too much.

Why can't it just understand that I left because I loved it too much? Quote: Are you there, JewelsotForest? It's me, Kingdom of Loathing. Dear JewelsotForest, Okay, I'm not good at this kind of thing, but I feel like I have to give it a try. So, here goes: I was hanging out the other night, listening to some old mp3s, and I was just overcome with memories of when we used to hang out all the time. Remember? You were an intrepid, fearless adventurer, and I was the free-to-play, fun-and-funny online role-playing game that won your heart. Do you still remember those good times? I can't stop thinking about them. I mean, I know things got kind of messed up at the end, and believe me, I'm sorry. If I could take any of that back, I totally would. And I know people grow and change, and you're not the same person you were then, but hey -- I've changed, too! I thought and thought about how to win you back. I figured I'd make you a mix CD, but I couldn't decide what "our song" was. So I just concentrated on becoming a better game for you, and here's what I came up with: Remember how much fun you used to have with your clan? Alternately, remember how you never joined a clan because you didn't see the point? Either way, clans now have clan dungeons, group zones where your whole clan can work together. Crawl through sewers to Hobopolis, a vast underground vagrant vacation vista! Slide into the slime tube, and stir-fry sassy slimes! I know I wasn't the prettiest game when we were together, so I had some work done. Almost every interface got an interface-lift. You can even manage most of your inventory via chat commands! I also came up with a way for you to automate some of the things you don't love about the game, so you can spend more time with the parts you do love. Not only that, but there are way more animated .gifs than there were before. Don't worry; I haven't lost that low-fi edginess you love, but I'm a lot easier to play with now. You can also have a custom title now, just in case you didn't feel like I appreciated what made you unique as an individual. I should also say Haiku Dungeon's been revamped. See what I did there? Maybe you quit because you got sick of always adventuring above the water. I admit that seems unlikely, but I fixed that, too -- there are a bunch of underwater zones with new food, equipment, mechanics, and challenges. And that's just the tip of the iceberg, trust me. I'm still the silly, clever, deceptively-complex game you fell in love with, only with about 95% more awesome. So, I'm just sayin', if you can find it in your heart to give me another chance, I won't disappoint you. If you don't drop by, I promise I won't bother you again. I just really felt like we deserved one more try. Love, The Kingdom of Loathing. http://www.kingdomofloathing.com If I wasn't already fighting off an addiction to something else, this would likely get me back. I got a kick out of it anyway.

Company invited itself over to help work on the deck but I should still be able to be on.
