  6. Quote: 134. Crise de Signification - When paradigms fail Aw, man... that was my possibly better guess. Good job Triumph.
  7. Yeah, I was pretty sure about 138 and put it back in when I noticed it gone. Round two then? With some research so I'm not completely clueless. 118. Power Card v. Infinite Start - Fools' Recursives The power card gives you infinate starts. These two relate to themselves. 136. Glitch My Asthma - Amazon Frail Amazon Trail is a game kinda like Oregon Trail only not nearly as epic. People with Asthma could be considered Frail so... perhaps. 131. Iron Spiralite - To straighten things out is Spiralite is the brand name of a strong hose. An Iron hose could keep quite straight. 137. Banks of the Hyperspeed Stream - Reminescent of System's Twilight and Finnegans Wake System's Twilight is a tough logic puzzle game, Finnegan's wake is a difficult to understand book and thus is the ideology of Hyperspeed. Plus a wake is the waves left behind a boat while on a stream. 134. Crise de Signification - "Because you are... IDIOT! Zee! It IS NOT moving!" Sounds like a significant crisis for someone foreign to me. Edit: But I matched 155 on Phlan and Bloodpudding having the same consistency... Just a wild guess. Course I wouldn't dream looking the gift horse in the mouth. I have another possibly better guess for 134 already but I don't know if I can have two up at once. Either way I fail.
  8. I barely made it in time to answer anything so I haven't read anyone else's answers. I hate to rush on good puzzles like these. You get what you get. 138. Swampshedding in Broad Daylight - The first step is admitting you have a problem Cuz shedding your clothing and such in the swamp is a big problem, especially in the daylight. 146. And I think I remember something close to parselmouth from the book. 148. Greps of Wrath - Delphi Was Grep written in Delphi? Hints are leaning towards this 154. Trottoisie - The madwoman in the attic, perhaps As opposed to the fluffy turtle in the basement 156. Reflexive and Heady Evasion - Alcoholism Beer has a head and is used to evade reality. Took out my wild guesses to save face...
  9. @Slarty Why would I need to bug you when I have the entire answer key in the second post? I'll just see how many I can get right on one run through. I also hope I'll be able to stay awake for the list tonight. I'm getting too old to stay up every night.
  10. This is what happens when you have to take College Algebra 2. I missed the whole second round. Last night I started on 50 math problems @ 10PM. This morning I had finished 35 of them by 4AM. Will I ever really need to calculate (f°g)(x), (f°g)(4), (g°f)(x), and (g°f)(4) when f(x)= x-2 and g(x)= x^2+3-4 outside of these classes? Don't suppose you can PM me the original unmatched lists so I can try to make guesses just for the fun of it, eh Slarty? *preemptive huggles*

  12. *tips hat to Tyran* Having just footed the bill to keep TrueSite up and running for the next 3 years, I completely respect your decision. Your service has not gone unnoticed or unappreciated even if rarely verbalized. Thank you.
  13. I'm focusing on the presentation layer for now because that's what my classes are teaching me about. My database classes don't start till next January.
  14. No database yet; all hard coded. I know its not impressive from a professional standpoint. I'm still doing beginner stuff after all. I'm really just looking for feedback. I work best when I have feedback (positive or negative). I've already realized that actually incorporating the changes into my website would be purely for my own benefit of practice. There just isn't enough interest anymore to make it worth it for the community.
  15. Those look nice Mistb0rn. None of them are quite ready but I think they're a great place to start. I think first we need a background that will match the rest of the website. Try shrinking this.It might need a border of a couple pixels. Then I like the concept of the swords behind the words in v4 only I'd rather they were behind "for Blades" instead of TrueSite. Make sure the S in TrueSite is capitalized. No characters and I'm not sure about the font... I like the medieval look but that specific one's not really grabbing me. Let me look around for a font I like. I'm sure I can find something before August. I'm not sure how the font color will work with both the dark background and the light swords. Maybe the font will need to be light with a dark outline. Or maybe we'll just have to go with a lighter background. Thanks for the help. @Everyone else. Where's my ooohing and ahhhing? I have only a rudimentary understanding of JavaScript and I still managed to make a slideshow. Does nothing impress you anymore?
  16. If you have JavaScript enabled, check it. Nifty, no? http://www.kfandale.com/web505/Traci/splash.htm @Dahak If you want something different for the captions just let me know. I didn't save the names you had given for them with the pics.
  17. Thanks for caring. I'll take a look at those things, Niemand. For the logo I was thinking ~1"x1" that would go in the upper left hand corner of every page and serve as an extra Home button.
  18. Nothing? Huh, I guess blades really is dead. Ah, well. Duly noted.
  19. Things I've learned in Kuyki-do class. First stay calm. Then react quickly but appropriately. If they're taunting, use calm words. Building someone's ego can diffuse their anger. If they flash weapons try offering your possessions before they try to take them. Throw your wallet/watch/purse away from yourself so the weapons stay as far from you as possible. If they look nervous you could bluff by saying something like 'I've already pressed the Panic button on my phone. The cops will be here any second.' Better yet, get a phone with a panic button or an equivalent so you're not bluffing. If they lay hands on you break free as quickly as possible. They have your hands? Tuck your elbows into your sides, spread your fingers, step one foot back and twist away as quickly as you can while bringing your hand up towards your ear. Or two of their hands on one of your hands, reach between their hands with your other one and pull it up and out. They have your neck? Whether from the front, side, or back; lift your arms straight up over your head and lock hands(not fingers). Squeeze their hands to your neck, step away from them with one foot and twist quickly. They have your lapel? Your arms go up through the middle and arcing out. Hit their forearms with your forearms and keep your elbows close to your body. All these techniques must be done fast and hard for the surprise before an attacker can really get a grip on you. Follow through immediately with running away if possible. Offensive strike if not. Double punch to the sternum/nose or snap kick to the groin/sternum/chin can give you some time to get away while they recover. Not as effective when defending against groups but its a starting point. If you can't afford self defense classes, most of the dojos in my area let you sit in and observe class. You could look into that. If you're a visual learner, watching it done then repeating it at home can give you an equivalent level of training. There are books under $50 that can demonstrate techniques, too. tl;dr Fly you fools!

    Left Behind.

Yeah, what Rowen said. Not worth the time it took to read this thread. Doomsday predictions are dumb and always wrong. When the world does end, there will be no countdown for it.
  21. Part 2: PixPro http://www.kfandale.com/web505/Traci/index.htm It's not exactly how I would keep it since I haven't linked it to TrueSite. That's more for the classroom homework purposes, but it uses the same CSS file as the other one so integration is in process. Still working on that JavaScript... just need to find the time to read my textbooks. Four kids, four jobs, and a sudden lack of wireless internet... Boo. Boo I say. Edit: TrueSite needs a logo. Any takers on working something out for me?
  22. Icky... Checking on Explorer 8 on my own computer, though, it looks fine. What version of Explorer are you running? Some of the older versions don't support all of the CSS definitions. On another note, changing the width of the body from 100% to 95% fixed the horizontal bar problem. Yay!
  23. I thought Niemand meant a horizontal scrollbar for the entire page like what you normally get when you shrink the width of your browser. Ps. Thanks for the overflow: auto tip. Looks better.
  24. I think I found my background. Took one of shyguy's terrain carpets, brightened, and blurred it. Me like. Also changed out the image buttons for CSS ones. Not too pretty when you enlarge the text but I'm not sure how to compensate for that yet... Maybe make the current buttons into images that will at least match everything else? As for the horizontal scroll bar, I'll likely have to edit my horizontal border images in order to decrease the width of the page. I made it just big enough to catch the end of one of those blocks.
