The DX version does not display any alternate colours, either for your main character if you choose one at the start, or for upgraded versions of monsters. All colours are the default model colours.

This is a little strange, as the poison/acid effect alters the colour just fine.

Is there a fix for this, does anyone know?

I came across a camp of refugees north of Mera, and their whining caused me to black out, and when I came to, they were all dead!

But now, the Mera guard seems to think I am some sort of evil homicidal maniac, and attacks me on sight.

Can I ever make peace with them again? I do not have an old save point to go back to!

I am still very early in the game, but it seems that my main character misses with his spells more than 3/4 of the time. Does dexterity go into spell hit chance, should I focus on his spellcrafting abilities, or does the hit ratio simply go up with level?

it seems so straight forward now. somehow, i thought the README1ST file was exhorting me to make sure i extracted the files to the 'data' directory... which i dilligently did, of course...
