I could swear we just had this conversation like a week ago Oh well- The search function is useful- But then again I probably ask the stupidest questions around so.....

Quote: C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\AUTOEXEC.NT. The system file is not suitable for running MS-DOS and Microsoft Windows applications. Choose 'Close' to terminate application. I assume that this is the message you get? yes? I don't know but I just tried to see if it would work for me and what do you know it doesn't. If you are really serious try running dual operating systems- That might work. On my old W98 computer it works fine but I can see that this would be frustrating. Maybe someone could email you the game entirely installed already after downloading it and installing on their computer. Might work

Welcome- I'll leave a pert saying for someone else to say. To do this you need to put the stone in all 4 slots (one for each entrance) and then it should work. Oh- Quote: I hope you all like me? : [big Grin] [big Grin] Quote: Luv ya all [Cool] p.s. I'm 12

Koriba's Statue
Sticky replied to Goldengirl's topic in Avernum Trilogy (2000-2002 original versions)
Sorry about the confusion- That is the A2-3 confusion. with more context I realize that you are talking about A3- which I have never played- Though this part is the same as E3 -
The process for the old one was rather tedious though it could also modify the stuff done-like canisters and quests. This sounds much better even w/o all that. However for GF1 there also is an item editor, would you be interested in iincluding somthing like that with this trainer? Since you don't have to worry about the nodes limitations it would be much more convenient. I believe that the items in your inventory are also set in the same place as the exp and such.
-
Interesting- Have you looked at this ? Though somethings in yours sound much more convenient things like items and such are very nice too. Wow- post 100 How much of that was rather pointless spam?

Koriba's Statue
Sticky replied to Goldengirl's topic in Avernum Trilogy (2000-2002 original versions)
Are you me? Am I you? Identity confusion, Ahhhhh This is A2 the Mertis mission, right? If not ignore the rest of the message. Enter from the east. The passage is in a c shape. Find a secret passage in the west wall of the c shape and go through it. Follow this passage till you get back to the original c passage south of where you left it. Walk north towards where you first entered the cave and you will be teleported into the bandit lair entrance way. The bandits lair is reached by picking up all the crystals in the entrance and then going through the secret passage way in the east wall of the room with the crystals. This will open the gate allowing you into the inside of the lair. -
Blades of Avernum Editor Windows v1.0.3 Out
Sticky replied to Spidweb's topic in Blades of Avernum Editor
Pardon me- Stupid post. -
Sounds like your perfect opportunity for a scenario ;< Also- A little post revival, eh? Some people get irate about such things.
-
Not quite true. If your Unlock skill is high enough you can get in but there is little point- nothing to do in there.
-
Sure- And How Do you get through the tunnel w/o them? Ah and thnx for the tip on the map
-
Not that locations will help you get into the fortresses. The ziggurats location is north of Erika's Tower quite a ways, and a little east if I remember correctly. I think that it is built on top of the fort that was destroyed by Khoth in E1.

Killing the Drayk and Icy Spectres in the Crystal Caverns?
Sticky replied to GavinFox's topic in Geneforge Series - Originals
The AP point reducers are often mental magic- Or it happens when you get hit really hard. So the best way to prevent this is to stun the enemy first. As far as resisting them I think that mental magic and intelligence help you against the daze spells and the endurance helps you with the stun attacks. I would suggest not attacking the Drayk and Ice Specters because there is an easier way to achieve your goal here. However, if you want, you can forget about this quest for a while and keep playing till you are able to kill, say one of the leaders, and then you shouldn't have to much trouble with the rogue drayk here. -
Hrumph I don't think that it is just a leadership of zero needed- I have that and he sent me on a mission for whaleskin tights- wherever you get those. I just hope that I don't have to wear them.... Are there any other unusual stats that you have that might let you skip this mission? I just don't even want to see him with that whaleskin on- Silly Eskimo.

Quote: It's not Pyrog's egg, as it would have already have hatched. It is called, "Pheonix Egg". Anyway, the long road to gain Quickfire, isn't pointless, you can gain much experience with the final fight, and treasure. I do know what it's not called- I was trying in a very silly way to be cryptic- And of course it's not pointless. It is only not required.

Quote: There is only one canister that can recharge the battery, it's the one in the first map, that gives you Firebolt. I hope you didn't use it, because you have to reload otherwise. Dang it- The problem for me is getting to the first level of GF1 where the canister is. Is Erika able to teleport you there or something?
-
Whatever your talking about may work, but I really don't know what your talking about. Large Arrow? Path? Not that this all really matters- At the moment I'm just really bored of waiting for something. Oh well. Wow over a day w/o a reply. How depressing
-
Yah- Pyrog's Egg
-
You lie- Or you just made a mistake- It's not required to beat the game at all. There is more than one way to produce the desired effect. Gnee- ask "Empire"
-
I've had the same problem playing those games- but only when the game froze. A few suggestions Was this a one time incident or does it happen every time you play? Try turning off the sound through the game not the speakers.
-
Yeah, more silly puzzles. Or don't rejoice with me at my inability to figure out this "remote cave" of puzzles. Is the solution to the third part of this cave as irritating as actually having to look in the crate that you get to the rune? Cause whatever it is my brain can't discover it. Hrumph "triangles" Edit: Pardon the lack of coherent thought. Its late.....

Interesting Idea... I guess.... Like FBM i don't know how that format works. Oh and FBM I thought that you were "wonderful" and "friendly" Quote: wonderful FBM's friendly sugestion to very new people.

Please Help Me Experienced Editors...
Sticky replied to SmirfOfDoom's topic in Blades of Avernum Editor
I don't know if it's ever been proposed- But community efforts by the more "experienced editors" might be able to make vast scenarios. I don't suppose that that level of cooperation can be reached though . I do know that there have been scenarios produced by at least 2 creators so it does seem possible.... There just would have to be some sort of agreement on just about every thing. -
I think it depends on the person I like to start with 4 characters all with the reputation bonus. Then I can delete them in the correct order to get the other special ability types from NPCs
-
Yeah there isn't any crystal souls in Sulfras's lair, just the Onyx scepter which you were looking for earlier. You can now go back to the teleporter place and finish that mission In Pyrog's lair however....
