Er... for the record, I'm totally fine with things the way they currently stand.
But if that's the way the rest of the community is moving with regards to special rectangles, then sure. Let's go ahead and make them selectable/movable. (And by extension, those changes to the deletion tool are quite reasonable)
Just please don't bother with numbering them.

...er. How does that work? If you're frozen, you can't act.

...er, slight modification that's actually pretty important.
Tomorrow's session is at 5pm CDT, because Daylight Savings Time rolled through last weekend. Not CST. So it's UTC - 5, not 6. Make sense?

That should be fine by me.
-
I am back, and unless anyone has anything important to flag down, this thing's about ready to go.
Expect Siege to be released before the weekend.

Wow!! that would have been useful to know
...seriously. I have now played A4-6 in their entirety without that knowledge. Wow.

See, the thing with TM's scenarios is that I expect tons of TPKs, which kind of invalidates the project.
I'll still probably play them, but recall that this thing only gets updated whenever I'm not working on other stuff.
...btw, I really wish Imban had continued his singleton project.

Yay! We'd be happy to have you in the party, or even just as a sub from time to time. Definitely your call.
My advice is to check out the blurbs for each campaign towards the beginning of the thread, and then read up on whichever campaign seems more interesting to you. Then it's only half as much text.
So... yeah. Session is still on Friday, Selos party.Originally Posted By: Orlis the Cliffpainter"The way the light reflects off the mountaintops... it's not quite right. Give me a week." -
The party has now reached level 17-ish, which is still kind of in MA's range.
And yes... I figured out the logic of the special spell, and without fail it triggered when the soldiers "helping" me blocked Lord of Wargs, and my party was on the other side of the room. I thought it particularly unfair that I wasn't actually blocking him.

I'll admit, I was a bit zoned out tonight, I just know that Harosh had absolutely terrible luck when there was any sort of pressure.
And I say screw it, I want to cast all 5 of my spells.
Click to reveal.. (Harosh level up) -
So! I was sad to realize I hadn't ever played this. Naturally, it was time for me to send the Never Say Die party in, where they... died. A lot.
A lot of the deaths were just annoying, either owing to multiple casts of hugely-damaging multi-target spells, or big bruisers who got a lucky hit in (and they get to hit twice). Designers everywhere beware! Multiple casters with Lightning Spray is cruel to low-level parties!
Click to reveal.. (A boss-fight bug)
I also uncovered at least one instance of a seriously broken boss fight... the Lord of Wargs can continue casting one of his special abilities even after the party has died, and generally casts it in an infinite loop until the party dies. My recommendation is to buff and haste and just do your best to take him down in one round... I did not find another way around it.
On the other hand, the story was well-written (I did not play the original April Fool’s version). And gear was well-portioned, as well as the spells available. And forking plots are fun.
So hey, it could be a whole lot worse, but I’ve generally expected better from Smoo. Still worth a play-through no matter what. [rating]Average[/rating]

Update #12
It all passed like a series of dreams before Maria's eyes, and she felt like she had experienced it before...
There was an ogre mage, and it just kept exuding clouds of fire, over and over, even as the party lay dead at its feet. There were swarms of ogres pounding on Soliss and Carrrno, and lightning everywhere.
Then the vision faded, and Maria saw clearly. The wizard was dead, and the true threat was eliminated.
...so, played Quarhag Pass. There were many, many, many TPKs. And nothing else, really. Either 100% death or no death.
The best TPK? The Lord of Wargs, who had a very broken ability. Once he reached low enough health, he would simply blast my party in a loop until everyone was dead. Either broken scripting or bad design, and I'm willing to give Smoo the benefit of the doubt. And then he just kept casting the ability, as many as 8 times after the entire party was dead!
...I really, really do not want to play Mad Ambition.

Um.
...
You know, you don't have to play it if you don't like it, and you are certainly not obligated to finish it.
I am torn over whether to move this to the A6 forum.

We are a tiny sample size of a fragment of a fragment of a fragment of a market. I would not recommend using this data in any sort of serious proposal, and would also suggest avoiding business dealings with anyone who would accept said proposal. -

Friday, March 19th, 5PM CST in spidwebRP2, or whatever room isn't being stupid.
Time to see what happens to the Selos party when Zarusa is done with them...

And in the 2D view, seeing items isn't a problem.

Yes, but that doesn't actually help because you still can't click on the hidden tile.

Yes, but then you can re-paint the floors for a moment. Hard-coding this kind of functionality into the editor seems superfluous. -
It prompts you for each number separately, but yes.

I had a few very positive ones when I was in San Francisco, which lined up quite nicely with how awesome the conference was. The fortunes themselves, sadly, are long lost to my luggage.

I've experienced minor lag with some of the newer fancier graphic sparkles, but it's not debilitating. Would I prefer the graphic simplicity of BoA's Lightning Spray to the new slow-moving ball of lightning shot in A4-6? Yes. Am I too happy with having a directed spell to really make a spirited complaint? Yes.
However, the doubly-fancy graphics for parrying a spell could probably stand to go. As is, they only ever taunt me.
