Yep... the log is going to take a little while, I apologize in advance. And yes, everyone levels up. Also, NEW BLOOD MARSH CALENDAR! Originally Posted By: Khielik, human shaman "Most embers dwindle as they drift away. A scant few grow brighter."

...and back to the original topic for a second, yay nothing exploded.

Yay! Now we just need the Avernum and Geneforge avatars to fight.
-
I'm out. Between new job and AIMhack, I can't do it. Sorry, folks. Not like the party needed a lawful stickler like Yoth hanging around.
-
*sigh*... Duck, please level up. SELOS PARTY!!! Heads-up! Session, Friday April 2nd, 6PM CDT! In a stunning twist of fate, the entire party can be there! (the real trick will be me getting back from work in time... but I shall manage) Please read this before the boards go down for server migration! Well, a lot of us do... like the aforementioned strategy compendiums. Anyway, see you all on the other side, assuming it goes off as planned.

YAY! Glad to have you back and designing, Nemesis!

Oh, right... there should be more perks before the next session. I'll work on it. Originally Posted By: Dantius 1. I had to go back to nearly the halfway point in the thread to find my last levelup. Hey everyone! The log from session #6 of The Blood Marsh is up right over here! And everyone levels up! Even if you did not attend the session, all five characters in Blood Marsh were piloted to leveling up. Now, quotes... Click to reveal.. (QUOTE-ACLYSM) Alexander: "Hey, an actual zombie." Amadan: "Ooh oh ut uld eee ice? Uh herd had." Esstra: "Check them for gills! And also kill them, that can't hurt." Sawbones: "An arrow to the head has a negative effect on living creatures." Kurex: "The first rule of plundering: Pillage, *then* burn." SELOS PARTY! New calendar! My ideal target? April 4th.

So, there is a chance I'll be late. I'm starting my internship tomorrow and don't know how late I'm getting back.
-
It's real. This is straight from the mod board. Also, it would be an exceptionally lame prank.
-
IMHO, it generally doesn't count if you're expecting it when it loads. And you know when you've been caught.
-
See, and now I'm wary, so it's not like it even counts anymore. Nice try. (I seem to remember mechanics like that in the Civilization games when you conducted espionage and such.)
-
I do check links... particularly after that one nasty spam attack here. And when I see a youtube link in a thread about pranks... I'm just flat-out disappointed.
-
...you do realize that most browsers display where a link goes if you hover over it, right? So nobody will actually believe you're not sending them to youtube, right?
-
Don't forget, Blood Marsh goes today! In 12 hours, actually. Originally Posted By: Unattributed "Honestly now, who in the hells would voluntarily live out in the swamp? It's a deathtrap! Only madmen and fools out thataway."

...it's not April 1st. Also, providing advance warning of pranks is generally a bad plan.

Another simple trick is to just AdBlock any annoying avatars. I've done if before, and I'm likely to do it again. That said, I rather enjoyed some of the avatars. There were just a few that made my eyes bleed.

I've heard nothing but good about Spelunky, because it's already out. And I've tried one or two of the really short mods, but haven't tried the huge ones yet. (Aquaria modding is also where I told myself I was going to go when I got sick of BoA... whoops.) And yeah. I'm a completionist, so I only ever saw the secret ending. Imagine my surprise on my first playthrough when I saw "you've unlocked a new ending". EDIT: And with regards to the interview I mentioned above, I got the job! An unpaid intern is me!
-
Ah, that news makes me very happy. ...man, I should really give Spelunky a try. Essentially, anything that either Alec Holowka or Derek Yu has a hand in, I feel like I can trust it, quality-wise.

Aquaria is hands-down my favorite game of all time. I actually found myself in a pickle today because I had an interview for an internship, and found myself faced with the question of what I would change/improve in my favorite games. And I definitely blanked on what to change about Aquaria.
