i agree, a3 definately is slower. however, if you quit everything else, close all windows and use the suggested monitor settings, it works quite well.

they wont. dead people stay dead. only thing to do without cheating is staying away from there for a time; eventually, they will forgive you.

you can get unlock from start in any avernum. in a2, buy it in formello. in a1, dont ask me. try silvar or cotra, the largest cities nearby.

well, you could always retrieve the journal of some apprentice in the portal fortress from the tom... beside that, i suggest you go for the tower of zkal. no idea what to do there, though.

i find gaining rep very easy, though its much more fun to play in a non-rep-gaining way

yes, or the editor can, too. id always take a look at how much an item is worth, because if its 0, youll know its a cursed item or it provides some other inconvinience. (sp?)

the portal fortress is in SW upper avernum. the guy should be in the NE building.

be sure to talk to everyone in town and say everything available to say. if you still cant get them, i guess xan is right. i think i remember a place or two where unbuyable horses lay around, though my memory is foggy. usually, horses are there to be bought, as well as boats.

there are some who can teach you recipes in the demo, dont ask me where, though. the only place you can get elixirs however is - i believe - in shayder from a yellow cloaked guy hiding in some bushes in the middle of town. or maybe it was sharimik. whatever.

there are some useful pants like the pants of power or iridium pants, which also are very good for enchanting, because you probably wont replace them, like weapons of armors.

too bad for us carbonized people. in order to play a1/2, ill have to look for my old hd, and who knows where it is... maybe in mexico, but certainly nowhere i cant find it.

yeah, that has bothered me for some time, too. i dont think one should cut such a neat option for simplicity. makes avernum look like my room.
