  2. I've been reading The Book of Fate by Brad Meltzer. It's an interesting read. I've been watching his show Decoded for a while and figured I'd read one of his books. Post #645

Plus all of the experience you gain is nice too. Post #644
  4. Here's what I remember doing in Exile and Avernum. 1. Taking everything I could in Fort X and selling it in Silvar. 2. Saving my game as soon as I left Fort X. 3. Get in a few fights outside to increase money and items. 4. Go to Silvar and do the quests. 5. Go to Fort Duvno and do those quests. 6. The Bat Cave in the northeast corner has a few things to sell as well as experience to gain. 7. Onward to Formello. (All of your characters should be at least lvl 5 by then) 8. Go check in with some GIFTS west of Fort Draco. 9. Head back and go south of Silvar to Mertis. 10. Go to the Tower of the Magi. 11. Do a little sightseeing in the Honeycomb. 12. Head to Almaria. 13. The Castle ('nuff said). Should be around lvl 12-15. That's just what I did when I played. Your results may vary. Post #643
  5. There are many oldbie's here (myself included) who found the original Exile's off of compilation disks like you mentioned. I found Exiles 1 and 2 off of a compilation called "Galaxy of Games" back in late 1997. Post #642

  10. I've been replaying the original Avernums in anticipation for the upcoming release of Avernum:Escape From the Pit. So far I beat the first one in 3 weeks and the second in a month. I just beat the second one yesturday. I plan to start on the third tomorrow. I hope to be done before Christmas. I was just wondering if anyone else was also doing something like this? Post #637
  11. Sorry, I'll tell myself next time when I'm posting something not to be in a rush. And it's not a demo CD, it's a Avernum 4 CD, but it has never installed a full game ever. Post #636
  12. I am a History Channel nut. The only thing I won't watch on History is Ancient Aliens. I love Brad Meltzer's Decoded, Pawn Stars, American Pickers, American Restoration, Ice Road Truckers and many of its other segments. I also love the Discovery Channel. Who can argue with great shows like Mythbusters, American Chopper, Auction Kings, Man vs Wild, Dirty Jobs and Deadliest Catch. Other than those channels I might watch a few shows on NBC like Chuck, The Office, Harry's Law and Saturday Night Live. My favorite TV show is Last of the Summer Wine that comes on Public TV at 10:30 Central Time. I also watch the occasional movie now and then. I've seen Love and Other Drugs, both parts to Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, and Green Hornet. Other shows include WWE Raw and Smackdown, House, NCIS, Psych, and Ghost Adventures. Post #635
  13. Easy, it's called calling Spiderweb Software and getting the code again. I just didn't want to say too much before. Post #634

I have the code, but it sucks when you want to just install and play but now have to spend an extra minute or so putting in a code when you shouldn't have to. Post # 633
  15. I too do not see the real need of a night and day difference in the Avernum games (3rd being excused for obvious reasons). You could hardly begin to comprehend the magnitude of this majestic clock. Now where are my glasses? *spends 45 min looking for his glasses and finds them on top of his bald head! Post #632
  16. I have not done either of the two. At least I'm not the only one. There are at least 9 others like me who've not played! Post #631
  17. I was curious and figured I'd ask, but is anyone here playing or planning to play Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3? I ask because I bought the game early (around 12:15 AM) Tuesday morning and was wondering if anyone here might be playing it. Post #630

  19. You could find a tailor and make a nice Mink coat for those times when the caves give you the chills? Or you could bundle them together and make a comfortable bed when having to rest outside of a town? Or you could take them to a smithy and have them make you some light armor? Those were just stupid weren't they? Basically they aren't really good for anything but for selling like Dikioba said. Post #628
  20. I chose to pre-order Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 from Gamestop instead. But I still would like to get Skyrim also...just not right now. Post #627
  21. I live out in the country. Out in the boondocks. I live (by road) some 9 or 10 miles from the city of Manchester, TN. I like my privacy, but I live close enough to enjoy a trip to town every now and then. Post #626
  22. Based on this recommendation...I might just give this game a go. I just never really thought about playing the remake. I loved the original, so why not try the remake. Post #625
  23. Stay away from Gladwell. He's evil! Come on over to my tower so I can smack you around a little, you Empire scum. Post #624
  24. I am currently reading the Manchester Times newspaper. Post #623
  25. T minus 1 hour and 35 minutes until it is officially Halloween. I've got a pretty good costume lined up. I'm taking my neices and nephews out Trick or Treating tomorrow. Why let them have all of the fun dressing up? I'll take some pics of me wearing the costume and post them on my Facebook page. Post #622
