As Randomizer said, they may open/unlock a door in the general vicinity but not right next to you.  Also, if there's a door that seems like it 'should' open, look around really closely.  Jeff likes to stick levers so that they're mostly hidden behind a post or something similar.

Occasionally, you'll also find a lever on both sides of a door, both of which are used for the same door, just allowing access no matter which way you came.

  2. Any of the games can be saved and loaded at any time outside of combat. Most recommendations are likely to reflect people's favorite series. Just try one, as was mentioned, you can get demos for most of the games directly from the site. You'll learn very quickly if it's for you.

Also, is "Welcome to Spiderweb Software, leave your sanity at the door" still a thing? Been a while since I've poked my head in.

  3. What Randomizer said, I got fired this past January and so far, have only managed to get a part-time job. In my opinion, the problem is compounded by most employers doing all of their hiring online now days. Makes it hard for someone with amazing personality and people skills to get in the door.

  4. Looking back at the movie and trying to ascribe a tone of politics to it, yeah, I can see it, but when I go to see a movie, I'm there to be entertained, and if there was any political intent in the movie, it was not blatant enough for me to take notice.

As for Closet, and coming out of, Closet can also mean being secretive or a condition of secrecy, and has had that meaning long before "Coming out of the Closet" became a well known term.

Not very good I know, but forgive me, I'm pulling these off the top of my head, give me a couple of hours and I'll hit you with some Epic Limerick Prose!
  7. GenCon is just over a month away now, I will be attending(it really helps living in the city that hosts it), and I thought I'd see if anyone else on these forums would go this year.

  8. HP Printers are some of the best around for most people, and I know that the main public hospital here in Indy prefers them. On the computer side, I've found HP lacking.

For the record, my current computer is a Sony Vaio laptop.

That's a bit harsh, most people I know avaid deep fried foods, and I imagine a far greater portion of Americans will never eat this, just like the deep fried twinkies or snickers.

This leads me to going through shoes at a rate of having to replace my walking shoes ever 6-7 months.

The only time that I have gone longer with my walking shoes was when I lived in Chile. The shoes broke down (Doc, Martins) in about 5 months while I was walking 21 miles a day on average. Instead of replacing those, I pulled the plastic ankle support out of the shoes and bought some full foot gel inserts. Replacing the inserts once every month (Dr.Scholl's gave me a great deal on a 2 year supply of inserts) I was abel to use my shoes for a just over 2 years. The soles of the shoes wore through and the most of the stitching had giving out (my toes could stick through the holes in the stitching). I also now have scars on my heels from months of blisters.

Moral of the story if there is even one? Its very hard for me to find a decent pair of shoes that are made for heavy use.

I have a similar problem, Since I have to do a fair bit of walking for my job. Multiplied by the face that I have fairly large feet. Luckily, the shoe store I shop carries well made shoes for big feet, and even though I've had to pay about $100-$150 for a pair, the last few pairs I've gotten have lasted over a year each.

In other words, I am not exactly a pattern, but a class of patterns. But this is redundant, because that's what all patterns are.
