(Yes, I can confirm it works on 64-bit Windows 10. I had a screenshot when I proved this a while ago. In fact, it may have been Tyran I was showing!)

Now that these are more manageable, I'll tackle some more. I find it stressful when there's too many.

465. Ten Million Pounds of Sludge -- Made the monkey go to heaven
...and there are lots of references I can still see but which I can't match up.

Hmm.
485. The Analysistrata -- Forcing a peaceful resolution through logical retention
Lysistrata is, of course, the famous Grecian story of how Lysistrata aims to end the Peloponnesian War by persuading the women of Greece to withhold sex from their husbands. The idea is that by withholding sex, the men will be forced to find a peaceful resolution to the conflict. The PDN/clue also play on anal retention, and therefore psychosexual development, and honestly it's been a long time since Freud and all I really got was anal and retention.

Look on this thread, ye Mighty, and despair!

I'm not sure why I never posted my results to this before, because I sure remember talking it...
Anyway: https://cdn.calref.net/files.calref/12/a9d4f065_IPIP-NEO-Narrative-Report.html
"Highlights":
-
EXTRAVERSION: 47 (Your score on Extraversion is average, indicating you are neither a subdued loner nor a jovial chatterbox. You enjoy time with others but also time alone)
-
AGREEABLENESS: 97 (Your high level of Agreeableness indicates a strong interest in others' needs and well-being. You are pleasant, sympathetic, and cooperative)
-
CONSCIENTIOUSNESS: 16 (Your score on Conscientiousness is low, indicating you like to live for the moment and do what feels good now. Your work tends to be careless and disorganized)
-
NEUROTICISM: 58 (Your score on Neuroticism is average, indicating that your level of emotional reactivity is typical of the general population. Stressful and frustrating situations are somewhat upsetting to you, but you are generally able to get over these feelings and cope with these situations.)
-
OPENNESSL 93 (Your score on Openness to Experience is high, indicating you enjoy novelty, variety, and change. You are curious, imaginative, and creative.)
I feel that Neuroticism should've been higher ('anger', for instance, was only 14?) but I did tick a box saying that this wasn't true or real so it's all okay.

Archmagus Micael lives in England (or at least he did as of a few years ago), and I'm pretty sure that's where he met Nicothodes.
Yes. Micael is in the UK still as far as I am aware. Nico definitely met him in the UK.

420. Terras Astraea Reliquit -- Sith there's no justice in earth nor hell
Titus Andronicus -- 'Terras Astraea Reliquit' means something like 'the Goddess of Justice has left the world', while the second part is a direct quote:
And, sith there's no justice in earth nor hell,We will solicit heaven and move the gods
To send down Justice for to wreak our wrongs.
(plus 'Sith' and revenege, and in the play Titus has his hand cut off and presented to the Emperor, and it's all very Star Wars-y)
428. Escher Esper -- Beast that contradicts the laws of magic
M.C. Escher's works famously contradict the laws of physics through illusion (and I actually thought this was paired with another clue before...), while Espers are magical beasts in the Final Fantasy series of games. In FF6, if you beat an esper it taught you magic, while in other games they can be summoned as allies.

417. Between Good and Evil -- Thus Spoke Mordenkainen
Couple things going on here. Beyond Good and Evil and Thus Spake Zarathustra are books by Friedrich Nietzsche. But then Mordenkainen is a Dungeons and Dragon character who works to keep Good and Evil from gaining the upper hand on one another -- so he's between Good and Evil.
415. Doublegarmonbozia Palace -- Pain and suffering and financial difficulties
Buffy the Vampire Slayer meets Twin Peaks! Doublemeat Palace is the restaurant Buffy gets a job in season 6 -- because she has no money ('financial difficulties) after her mum dies, and after she dies and after all goes to pot. During the episode, Buffy thinks there's people in the burgers at the DMPalace, but it's actually revealed to plant extract, or corn, or something. MEANWHILE, in Twin Peaks, Garmobozia is negative energy ('pain and suffering') that just so happens to take the form of corn. This one was my favourite for how well they worked together.

I definitely wish I'd had the time to rank some of these characters - especially because my reaction to the Nathalies, Alwans, and Lankans is as unsettled as the wider community's.

It would be nice to but i leave in literally one week so I don't think we have time to work out the logistics.
I'll be in this place called "london" for a few hours though if you wanna drop by for lunch or something

Yeah, we probably should've arranged something when I asked you three weeks ago.

-
Ah, so you're not planning on meeting me while you're in Ireland?

Oh!
378. Characters not permitted -- Make PDNs great again.
So, President Trump said he'd ban Muslims from entering the US when he ascends to the throne. His campaign message/slogan is 'Make America Great Again'. This pairing plays on those - plus, if you try to have characters in your PDNs it tells you that certain characters aren't permitted. So, it's also saying that by including Characters/Muslim people, PDNs/America will be great again.
So that means:
398. Long Cons and Massive Clocks -- A reference to long departed cartoonists
Didn't Phil Foglio's art include a character struggling with a massive clock? And he no longer draws pictures for Jeffy-Weffy? I honestly don't know on this one.

I would always skip over Only Skin in Joanna Newsom's album Ys because the song is 17 minutes long and it seemed to drag. I wound up listening to it on a road trip through rural CT and I realized it was an excellent song, and now it's one of my favorites. I practically know the lyrics by heart.
Ys is an album I usually skip entirely (not because I dislike it, but because 'Only Skin', in particular, does drag a little), but sometimes I'm not paying attention and 'Emily' or 'Sawdust and Diamonds' comes on, and I'm completely blown away and I remember how much I love Joanna Newsom.
Anyway, your post made me start listening to The Milk-Eyed Mender, for the first time in about 8 months, so thanks! Also, +1 for Cocorosie.

Pinch. Of. Salt.
-
I wanna play, but I know that unless it's a Friday or Saturday night, I won't get to. So, take at least one of the sets of answers with a pinch of salt.

To be fair, needing more than 12/16gb is probably something only a fraction of users are ever going to need - modeling is one such use. Sure, shoving more in isn't going to hurt, but you're also really unlikely to use it. I've never used more than 14gb, and I played Arkham Knight on the highest settings.

...I just now realise that tonight may not have been the best night for this.

Hey, for the next 50 or so minutes (or maybe more?), I'm playing Studio Ghibli music at http://mixlr.com/probablynikki
You've already missed some great Kiki's Delivery Service Stuff, and some Spirited Away stuff, but you should still listen,

Tridash and I ate pizza and explored London this afternoon, which means he's now on the chart.
