which is the best? shapers, agents, or guardians
Toenail Returns replied to yoshidude294's topic in Geneforge Series
I personally like Shapers because you can build walls of creatures to defend you. Then you just zap individual enemies with firebolt or searer. -
Pleasing Delis
Toenail Returns replied to mistica's topic in Avernum Trilogy (2000-2002 original versions)
I think if you kill them all, sooner or later they will come back as friendly. -
So I'm Generally Loathed.....
Toenail Returns replied to Genenum's topic in Avernum Trilogy (2000-2002 original versions)
I'm not sure that you need the full version of the editor to edit reputation. Anyhow, when I got to the Tower of Magi, I was amazed at the rep I had gained without knowing it. Then of course I lost it in less than an hour after slaughtering everyone in all of the nearby towns. -
Wut do u luv most about Geneforge 2?
Toenail Returns replied to yoshidude294's topic in Geneforge Series
I like the fact that unlike in Avernum or Exile, the people actually MOVE and don't stand still if you're not in combat mode. -
Go to random dungeons and kill everything and take all of the items. Even if they sell for 1 or 2 gold, eventually you'll notice.

improvements for geneforge 3.... your thoughts
Toenail Returns replied to Lenny Hipp's topic in Geneforge Series
We can dream if we want to, thank you very much. -
I think it's pretty much the same at Shayder and the otheres. You can make a little money at the Unicorn Grotto if you bring the horns back to Kriszan.

I mean, just say you wanted to go back to the starting place to check something out (for reasons unknown) and you were all the way on the other side of the map. You'd be pretty poed wouldnt ya? I can also concur with your last statement. I'd like to see a dual wileding feature on g3 as well. But I'd like to add on to that thought. The way I see it, I'd like to be able to dual wield two short range 1 hand weapons, like exile. (I dont think you can do that in avernum, correct me if im wrong) That just about wraps up all my statements about G3. [/QB] I know what you mean. But I guess that the shaper can use his "powers" to fly over places that don't have angry monsters in them. -
The only things I can get you is this full-out walkthrough of Exile III. Hope that the Troglo button thingy is in there somewhere! http://faqs.ign.com/articles/430/430084p1.html

Dead Guy
Toenail Returns replied to DonJason's topic in Avernum Trilogy (2000-2002 original versions)
Can't healers bring back dead characters? -
Thats life for you.

Think about it. Would you rather talk to a dragon that dosen't like you and looks like they are going to eat you, or a old dragon that can't fight and has cats?
-
Having serviles be main characters would be okay, but the main point of the game is with the shaping skills. How would a servile learn them, even if "illegally"?

I think that if you could make serviles, they could act as seperate party members, with all the equipment and such. They couldn't use spells though. -
Scenario Download problem
Toenail Returns replied to Toenail Returns's topic in Blades of Avernum Editor
OK, thanks. -
I wasn't sure if I should post this in tech support or here, but when I download a scenario for BOA, I can't find it! Where might I locate the scenarios?

One-PC Parties Rule
Toenail Returns replied to Donald Hebb's topic in Nethergate and Nethergate: Resurrection
Celts are really hard to play as. So what if they get spell bonuses and such. They can't wear armor and get hurt easily. Romans are much better with their chain mail and javelins. -
I think you can just download it again and then ask Jeff for a new code. And this should probably be better off in the Tech Support Forum.
-
That happened to me twice. I didn't push it the second time though. I didn't want SpidWeb to think I was giving regestration codes away. I just moved on to other games.

1. Karma is how well people think of you. Don't take it personally if you have low karma. There are idiots that just vote "Evil Priest" on everyone they see. 2. You can get different levels like adept by posting. The next level you'll get is Journeyman at 50. 3. Double-posting is where you post a message, and then post again. Instead of doing that, just press "edit" and add whatever you wanted to do. And just for a no-offense heads up. This would proably be better of in the general forum. Anyhoo, welcome to the boards!

I've noticed that when I told him "Skulls" he dosen't do anything. Is he supposed to?

X... Man or Woman?
Toenail Returns replied to Timmy, Power Gamer's topic in Avernum Trilogy (2000-2002 original versions)
I think X is a male. X could stand for "Xavier". What female name starts with an X? -
