Besides, you get it from boosting your main weapon skill, which you would be doing anyway. 3. Daze is OK for the early game. Now, what about the top tier skills? I haven't tried them all, but so far I find them underwhelming. The offensive abilities don't seem to do as much damage as the lower tiers, and who's going to sacrifice most of their offensive potential to use the defensive ones? Fill the middle column to capacity then worry about the other ones.
  2. The scrolls aren't as effective as the real thing. I thought so any way. I mean, my sorceress would do negligible damage with a scroll lightning, but lots with her own lightning spell.
  3. I don't understand the comic strip

  5. I actually found that charm foe did work often enough for me to keep crossing my fingers and casting it.
  6. The worst skill in the whole game is probably stunning bash. It simply does not stun, ever.
  7. Once a Runner by John L. Parker Jr Apparently the most requested out of print book in 2007. (In North America)
  8. Yeah, I guess technically that does make sense. But alas, in practise it does not work that way. I think it';s just a product of your level vs the level of the monster. The higher its level compared to yours the more XP you get.
  9. I just got it today at 11:30AM (i.e. it arrived at that time). But it ended up in my junk folder.
  10. Are you one of those people that keeps mice around the house?
  11. Fill the bottom level of the skill tree to max and the middle column, then add lots of dexterity and you're pretty much untouchable, even on torment. I didn't start to put points into the top level skills until the last few areas of the game. But forget about challenge, it's not that useful compared to the other skills.
  12. She gives you the dagger before that quest.
  13. Burnout Brew. Corruption doesn't affect my Blademaster and he gets 6 turns of battle frenzy, hell yeah.
  14. I didn't get it either. And Spidweb is on my safe email list.

    Dialogue Bug

Yeah, I remember wanting to say "I'll do the next one free too you old fool".
  17. He sent you round CD cases? Since when do round cases exist?
  18. Use speed scroll. Send the shaman and Blademaster to the upper wheel. Send the sorceress to the lower one. Don't get bogged down fighting, just move. Turn the upper wheel. Then immediately have the scorceress turn the lower one. The demon attacks you and the imps aren't generated as fast. After this just let the sorceress die, and then resurrect her. She will appear next to your Blademaster and shaman.
  19. Ahh, I've only ever used the number one key in fill-screen mode. It always works in that case.
  20. Not all scientists are going to make that next amazing discovery or insight. Most will just be plugs filling in small gaps in knowledge, setting out to achieve easily achievable goals. We need those scientists so that the less stupid ones can form everything into a somewhat coherent story.
  21. I gave Nathalie the group heal scarab. By end-game she had high enough magic absorption powers that she could use it nearly every turn.
  22. Agreed on the wandering NPCs. This is reason enough to bring back some keyboard functions such as look (i), and talk (t).
  23. The fun part about Sim-city was all the ways you could destroy the city.
  24. What are the secret medals? I didn't end up getting any of them. For example what is employee of the month, or terminal insubordination?
