What is the best Geneforge? I see posted that many people like #4. Based on that the Shock Trooper seems like a good match with my play style (I like to fight along side of my creations and use some magic). Then I see people say it's tough playing the game with that character. Any suggestions on which game to play and what character to start with? I have played #1 (as Guardian) so any other one besides that is fair game. I'm also not sure about character builds or where I should spend my points. I see nice write ups for some of the games but not #4. Should I start with #5? Any help or direction would be great. Thank You!

After looking over the screenshots it seems the main playfield is smaller. There is a huge static text box at the bottom. Does AV5 run in a higer res or are we in fact losing useful screen space to larger UI elements? I already thought that way too much useful space was taken up by the UI. Now it seems we have lost even more. Can you adjust how large that text box is? How does it seem? Comments?

I'm currently playing the demo using the default party. I'm not sure what skills I should pick for which character. So far I have only be picking 'Tool Use' so I can open some of the gates/chests. Which skills are important? I know the fighters need STR and the magic users INT. I'm looking more for a overall long range plan for the skill points. Is First Aid, Nature Lore, Luck very helpful? When I make my real party I want to make sure they have the skills they need to make it thru the game. Thanks in advance.

I stopped playing this game over a year ago. I have loaded my old save and I'm having a good time. Before I was planning on joining all 3 sects. The problem is that I can't remember what I was doing for quests - or what to do to join all 3 sects. I'm playing a Guardian I currently have these quests: Find Spy In Vakkiri Kill Ellhrah Find Shaper Records Find Spy in Kazg Kill Outsider Rebels I just cleared Holding 2 and few zones north of that. Based on the quests above can someone put me back on track to join the 3 sects? I guess I should have taken notes or something. It could be I just need to start over again. Any ideas or help would be welcome.

Nevermind. I read the other post about loading problems and see that it is because I have too many adventures. What is the limit? A error or warning message would be nice. I would have never have guessed that was the problem.

I recently downloaded 'On A Ship To Algiers'. I'm having problems getting BOE to see the adventure. I placed it in the directory I do for all the others I have played. I select Custom and try to pick it off the list. It isn't on the list as far as I can tell. Is there something else I need to do? Is there something special about this adventure? All the others I have played worked just fine. Any help would be great. Thanks
